Great little light

Familiarity:
I've used it several times
Fit:
True to size

I've actually purchased several more of these little lanterns. Originally, I used it to hang on the inside ridgeline of my Kammock Mantis UL. Puts out a good amount of light and is fairly compact. Picked up a couple more as hanging lanterns for my various tents. Highly recommend these.

My favorite camping light

I bought this for a solo camping trip last year and it was the all-around perfect light for me. It gives off enough light for a two person tent, hooks easily to the tent, is easy to use as a reading light, and was ideal as a task light while cooking at night. Extremely light-weight and easy to pack as well.

Solid Light for Tenting

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is much smaller than the picture lets on, but it is still very bright. We use it in our tent at night and it has these hooks on the bottom so you can easily hang it from the top. It also has a dimming setting which is nice too. A little too blinding if you set it down flat on a table.

Gets the job done!

This is a super bright light for its size! That being said, it is a lot smaller than it looks in these pictures!

Very bright light

Just got this lantern and it's definitely smaller than I expected, but it is made up for because the light is so bright. Will be a great compact, camping item for sure

Let there be light!

Your headlamp is important, and nobody wants to waste battery fumbling around with your sleeping bag, so it’s always awesome having a secondary light source. The Moji lantern is not only really functional, but it’s super small and lightweight. The lantern is the perfect brightness for a small 2-4 person tent, and it’s really easy to hang up, without worrying about getting knocked down. You really don’t have to sacrifice a comfortable sleeping situation for a lightweight pack.

Simple, Yet Effective

Easy to carry, lightweight, and provides ample light for its intended uses. I hang this in the ceiling of my tent and it makes for a perfect reading lamp.

Take it anywhere

This is a great light to take camping, backpacking, or any traveling adventure. It puts off a nice bright light and is easy to hang at the top of a tent for lighting up the night.

Amazing

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have been using this light for a long time with 0 complaints. It has a very bright yet soft light, great for inside the tent or placing on a table at the campsite. I like it's rounded aesthetic and the button is responsive. It does a good job illuminating at wide angles to fill the tent with light. I rarely have to change the batteries.

perfect for car camping and backpacking alike, very small and light (no pun intended) , the dimming is fantastic. small and simple but definitely a must have

Small but mighty

This light is small enough to throw into a side pocket of my backpack and bright enough to light up a 4 person tent extremely well.

Favorite camp lamp

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This light is little but it's certainly bright! I absolutely love this guy and always take it camping with me. It's small, can dim and the light is nicely diffused (not a harsh light). I use the clips on the lamp to hang inside the tent -- it makes for a perfect reading light and a better alternative to my headlamp when I need to look around the tent at night. Most definitely recommended!

Awesome Little Lamp

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

We hang this from the topper in our truck when we crawl in to play a board or card game, or to read before we fall asleep when car camping. It's light enough that I would consider bringing it backpacking, but I haven't done so yet. Dimming ability is neat, though I tend to leave it on bright. I haven't fully tested how long fully charged batteries will last, but I'll update if I ever do.

Simple and Handy

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This simple little lantern is great! I've taken it on about a dozen camping and backpacking trips, and have liked it so much I bought a second one. The thoughtful design of dimming the brightness by holding down the button is very useful. The button action/placement is solid - I haven't had it turn on accidentally in my pack, nor have I ever had trouble turning it on or adjusting the brightness when I wanted to do so. I don't tend to leave the light on much in general, and the battery usage seems about right. I've found I rarely need to use it on its brightest setting. It's easy to hang in a tent, or from a tree or your pack. Very handy and useful.

Great gift

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

This little lantern is perfect to light up a tent or car. Holding down on the on off switch allows you to adjust the brightness to help save battery life. This little light will be joining me on all of my car camping trips from now on! Awesome gift or stocking stuffer!

Great for Camping

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

We hang this small light from the middle of our tent. It definitely beats having crazy lighting with your headlamp while you're getting situated for the night. Not sure if I would sue this lamp for anything except for close quarters, like it is intended.

Did not work - defective?

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this to use to light up my tent at night, and the light looked great at first. Within 20 minutes, the light got very very dim, so I turned it off for the night. The next day the light refused to work. I switched out the batteries and everything to no avail. I think I may have gotten a defective product, but apparently I've missed the return window, so I'm stuck with a useless light :(

Hi Hannah I had the same problem after droppinh my lantern. I proceeded to hit it on it and it worked just fine. You may have already tried doing so. I think it may be how the lantern is designed and the batterys can jostle lose enough to where the batteries no longer connect.

Hanna, Contact Black Diamond, they have a 3 year warranty on their lighting products and reading the reviews off their website, they seem to be very prompt with getting you a new/working one. Hope this helps!

Must Have

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Illumination while camping is key and this little lantern is a must have when comes to tent lighting. Super small and compact, but chuck this little thing in the dome of your tent and it’ll provide enough light for a little reading or game of cards in the tent on a rainy night. It’s a must have for camping gear.

Does this light have a lock mode so that it doesn't turn on in my pack and kill the battery?
