Takes the whipper, and then some.

The LiveWire Quickdraw is Black Diamond's burly beater for sport climbing, projecting, and hopefully redpointing your hardest routes. Feel free to leave this draw hanging on a bolt, and whip on it over and over until you reach sweet success. Both the Nitron carabiner's keylock nose and the LiveWire's HoodWire technology provide snag-free cleaning when it's time to find a new project. The durably thick Vari-width dogbone uses a StraitJacket to stabilize the LiveWire carabiner when you're clipping your rope.

    bomber sport draws

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These draws are great for sport, easy to clip, easy to clean. a bit on the heavy side, but i like beef in my sport draws. Thant being said I wouldn't reach for these on a multi-pitch trad route...

    Favorite draws so far!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been climbing for 12 years now and have had the opportunity to use several different draws. The LiveWire draw has been my favorite. The clipping is fast and smooth. They feel super bomber which helps alleviate phantom fear. The different sizes come in handy if you chose to use draws as runners on traditional routes. Not the lightest but certainly not super heavy. Just right for my preference. One small issue in the last six that I purchased is ONE of the rock side carabiners (the Nitron carabiner) seized up within the first couple weeks. I just replaced it with a biner I had laying around. Over all I will keep buying these beauties!

    Best quickdraw on the market

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These quickdraws are amazing for clipping! The ergonomic shape of the bottom carabiner makes it really easy to grab and clip especially when your super pumped on the crux clip of your project. The dogbone is really nice to pull on when you're projecting or when you need to grab it to clip. I would highly recommend them for sport climbing.
