Out of Stock

Don't worry though, we have a lot more Carabiners in stock than that.

There should be a couple Black Diamond Light D Carabiners on every trad-climber's rack.

Although some may think it's old school, the Black Diamond Light D Carabiner works in places where other carabiners just don't get the job done. Its small diameter nose fits through old bolt hangers too small for most 'biners, so you don't get to the end of a long slab runout only to find that you can't clip the single buttonhead. Its simple shape created a strong 24kN breaking strength. The Black Diamond Light D Carabiner also works great for racking stoppers and pins.

Who you calling “Old School”!?

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Well, I guess you’re old when you remember when these guys came out… I was there, behind the climbing counter when I opened the box of new inventory… “Ooohhhh! What do we have here”! They were great back then and they are great now. Wold love it if BD would produce with a wire gate or a key lock. Anyways, they are light and STRONG and old school or not they are still a staple on my rack… there at least 36 of them in there. A great utilitarian biner. I may not lead with them but as mentioned I the description I won’t climb Tahquitz or in the Valley with a a few as they fit in most the old hand made hangers (button heads) and fixed pins… where the new stuff won’t. Lite D’s never go out of style
