Why We Like The Black Diamond Jetforce Pro Split 25L Backpack
The splitboarders among us trust the Jetforce Pro Split 25L Backpack and its splitboard-specific design for venturing out into unpredictable backcountry terrain. Not only does it include a redesigned Jetforce Pro airbag, but the airbag's deployment is designed to function with a snowboard strapped vertically. This bag features an electronically deployed airbag system with a rechargeable battery that deploys inherently faster than compressed air systems and takes up less space in our packs. Its also more travel-friendly, since compressed air systems must be unpressurized before flying.

Design flaws
These packs will come apart. The zipper that holds that cargo portion of these packs on WILL come undone and poof yard sale. The fact that bd hasn’t remedied this boggles my mind as it is one of the worst designs I’ve encountered. You will be in happy with this purchase.

Almost…
I want to love this bag, but not there yet. As a small rider (5’2”), the smal/medium size is too tall for my frame… I can manage, but it’s definitely designed for taller people. To boot, the back frame is flat and with little support. I’m finding hot spots where it hits a belt loop, for instance. No less, I love the ease of the airbag set up and deployment. Three pockets are good for separation of gear, but admittedly, the airbag takes up a lot of space in the main compartment. Finding that I have to adjust what I pack in the bag. I’d love to see the split board specific bag in the larger size.

Peace of mind

This bag is the final addition in a backcountry setup, especially when you are in steep terrain. The multi-pulls on a charge offers you the peace of mind to deploy the airbag even if you think there's something, or if there is. It's the peace of mind that gives you the extra confidence out in the backcountry. Additionally, the design is well thought out, with a compartment for the essentials (beacon/shovel/probe) and enough room inside the pack for a day tour or an overnight trip.
