The Black Diamond Guide BT is an avalanche beacon that designed with a full list of features that can fit the needs of mountain professionals. It's built in a housing that has soft contact points to feel better and more secure in your hand when you're conducting a search, and its three-antenna design eliminates spikes or the scenario where your beacon incorrectly points to a location that is isn't near your victim. An impressive 60-meter circular range means you can pick up your victim's signal from farther away and get on track faster, helping to save precious time, and if the slide has buried multiple victims you can use the mark and scan function to locate multiple victims, and mark each as you find them so your partner can start digging for maximum efficiency. The Guide is equipped with a continuous carry mode, too, which can locate analog beacons in the event that the victim was carrying one.

Fantastic! Great for AST lv1 1 and BC Touring!
Just completed my AST at whistler with extremely Canadian! Having flag feature helps a ton during Muti burial, it true the switch is tough to slide but I see that as great feature ! Too bad battery shows bar not percentage, otherwise it fantastic!

Intuitive, Easy To Use Transceiver
I'm an avalanche educator who practices and teaches rescue skills often, and I just switched to the BD Guide this season. I LOVE this beacon. It's very easy to use, even for multiple burials. The range is excellent, the processor is fast, and I love that I can get updates for it via the Pieps app. I have spent a bunch of time in the beacon park with it and the flagging function works great, even with 3 or 4 burials. I find the carrying harness to be simple and comfortable. Can't recommend this beacon enough!

New Avy Beacon
This beacon is awesome. It comes battery-ready so all you do is unpack, fit the straps to your frame, turn it on, and go. It fits great and is easy to use and read. I am required to wear one on patrol so having something that fits well is important. This was an excellent choice for me.

Easy to use and reliable
Had a BCA beacon for years and this winter it decided (along with two others) to malfunction. Had borrowed a friends BD beacon for one use and liked the ease of use and functions. Another great BD product!!

Fast processing, smart beacon
Fast processing, easy to use beacon with great features. Like any beacon, this is only as good as your training with it, but once trained, it’ll help you save valuable search time in locating buried subjects. Great multi burial functionality.

New to Beacons
I recently bought the Guide BT, it is my first beacon. Working with friends who have other brands, to familiarize myself with the use, I find the Guide BT more user friendly than competing brands. The Guide BT's screen is easy to understand when in search mode, and when "flagging" after a find. Highly recommended.

This beacon is easy to use and capable. It is my first beacon, and with the help of the user manual I was able to figure it out no problem. The harness is easy and comfortable to wear.
