Better than I expected
I bought it for cycling so that I can store it in my seat bag or stem bag because it is so light and compact. Then, if things get a little chilly on my ride I can pull it out and put it on quickly. For such a light and thin material it is surprisingly strong and windproof. The only thing I don't like is that it flaps in the wind and makes noise.

Great for what it is
4 stars because it would have maybe added half an ounce to finish the zipper... But for what this thing is meant to do (which is not a rain shell like the other review suggests) it's great. An emergency layer for when it's not too cold and quite windy. I use thing thing mostly from April to September when I don't think there will be rain. It's better on the back than a full rain jacket. If it's cold or if I think it might rain at all where I'm hiking, running, climbing or riding, then I'll take my fineline stretch (also by BD which I highly recommend). Ultimately this thing fits great, performs well as a windbreaker, and performs even better when sitting in your pack as you'll definitely not be able to notice it in there. The only reason I wouldn't recommend it ever is if you're not already set on rain shells. This is definitely a luxury item that comes after you've got a rain shell, since any rain jacket will do what this can and more.

Good wind shell, not for MTB
This is a well designed jacket which performs well as a rain shell. I used it mountain biking in Utah during a slight shower, but the breathability was limited. I was pretty clammy at the end.

light and protective
perfect wind shell / extra warm layer. I use mine trail running mostly, and its so small and light you forget you even packed it. Worth every penny.

Perfect
It’s shoulder season here in the New River Gorge and this is the perfect addition for a bike or run. If the morning starts out cool and drizzly, I put it on and easily take it off and pack it in my pocket while still running.

Almost perfect except completely failed the breathable mark
Let me preface this review by saying that I have only used this for cycling, and my style of cycling is usually pushing myself somewhat hard with fast (for me) pedaling and lots of heavy breathing when I ride. I bought this jacket in hopes that it would be a nice windbreaker for cycling on chillier, but not cold, days. I have a Gore shakedry goretex jacket that i like to use when it's around freezing or below temps. I was hoping this would be a nice jacket for when it's around 35-50f, but i was very disappointed with the breathability, which seemed to pretty much be none. My first ride was just below 50f and i was sweating quite a bit; i figured maybe that was just too warm for the jacket. The other day I went for a ride when it was about 38f and I was riding into a strong freezing headwind for 2 hours, and I was still sweating!! It felt like I was wearing a giant plastic bag, not a tech jacket designed for high output activities. I'm basing my standards of breathability off of the alpine start jacket, which keeps me warm enough down to around 35f and breathes amazingly, but i don't like using it because i have the hooded version. I'm going to get another alpine start jacket without a hood and call it good. For size reference... I wear a medium in most stuff, but i have 3 different BD jackets and they're all small. I think their stuff runs a little baggy/is not form-fitting and that's why I usually do small. I'm 158lbs and 5'11" and as far as size, the small for cycling is perfect for me.

Amazing and light
This is a great price in the kit. The jacket is so light I take it in all hikes, trail runs etc. It also works great as a layering price under my hunting gear to keep the wind off.

Very Nice and Lightweight Windbreaker
We own the Deploy Wind Shell (my wife, 15 year old daughter and I) in Alloy, Ultra Blue, and Hyper Red (we think all colors are very pretty). It is super lightweight and packs down very small. The ultra light fabric is very skin friendly (I often wear it over just a tank top or t-shirt when hiking or biking). The fit is good (not too tight and also suitable for women, although it is only offered as a men's version) and I also like that it is a pullover windshirt. The drawstring is also very handy. The only thing I miss to perfection is a hood. I hope that it remains permanently available and perhaps still supplemented by a wind pants or / and shorts.
