Why We Like The Black Diamond Dawn Patrol 32L Backpack
Prime for early morning backcountry excursions, the Dawn Patrol 32L backpack boasts an active, form-fitting suspension that moves with us when we're booking it back to the car so you aren't late for work. On longer days this pack carries snowboards vertically and skis diagonally or in an A-frame during bootpacks. A separate compartment stows avalanche safety gear, and the helmet carry tucks away during the descent.

Ideal Size & Super Comfy
This is the ideal size for day missions. Very comfortable. For ski/sb mountaineering I recently ski strapped a 60m rope over the carry handle and used the ski carry straps to distribute the weight evenly. On lighter days you can cinch it in to a smaller profile. Also the vertical snowboard carry is great when boot packing to summit where limited room for transition on the peak I did have to repair stitching on the belt pocket where it attaches to back panel. Maybe more reinforcement required here

great features, not very durable
I really enjoy the features of this pack such as the hydration sleeve and the ability to put a splitboard in board mode on your back. This pack is great for shorter days touring but after only one season of boot packing couloirs with my board in a frame on my back, the straps frayed off. One of the loops to hold the helmet sleeve also broke after about 10 days of use. I was able to sew things back on to make it work. If you're looking for a pack to withstand long spring days and multiple seasons, this probably isn't the one.

A bag for every tour
Bought to replace the minimalist ski touring bag I had to better accommodate splitboard gear. I love the added organization and thoughtful pockets.

Worst ski pack ever
Poor quality led to multiple points of failure in the first adventure. Plastic buckles all failed, and the material ripped with the side carry. In addition, because it does not allow a top-load it's very challenging to utilize the full space of the pack. It's an absolutely atrocious pack in virtually ever way.

Just right!
I needed something for quick treks in the spring, with varying conditions, and this pack is just the right size. Might try using it for overnights as well.

Great for back country
This bag has everything I was looking for. Plenty of storage, I can fit all my emergency gear, goggles, helmet, skins, camera, tripod and still have plenty of room left for anything I please. Super intuitive straps with a very clear intended use. I absolutely love the ability to add a bladder for water. Over all an amazing bag with an affordable price.

Love This Pack!!!
So far I’ve used this pack for a week of work and one backcountry trip, and it’s done so so well. I thought 32 would be either way too much or too little space, but seems to be perfect for day trips and work. I keep finding features of the pack that make it so helpful to have over others. I would say my highlight is the metal buckle. Other packs I’ve used have had the buckles snap or degrade from ski boots or weathering, but the metal one feels so durable. All in all I can see why everyone has one and I would highly recommend to anyone.

Back Pack
I am really happy with this product so far. I love how the straps are a solid piece with the pack itself, not sewn on, it makes them much sturdier. It hugs the body comfortably and distributes the weight well. I also like the metal clip on the waist strap for durability. I would like the waist pockets to set a little more forward on the strap to make them more accessible, or I need to be more flexible! Great pack and great product.

Fantastic!
Love it actually fit 25.5 ski boot inside ! It fit everything I need . However it not able to take out stuff from the top( you need to unzip from the back panel) make sure to get the M/L as well for 32L, they sell S/M for 30 L same price . Overall great bag when I skiing in Whistler!
