FINALLY a true 28" fit

I've both the shorts and long pants in this design and the adjustable waist band is perfect! I'm really more a 27" waist so finding clothes that don't hang like bags on me is nearly impossible. Always impressed with Black Diamond climbing gear but over the past year I discovered BD is one of the few remaining companies that actually make fitted clothes for men! I'm nearly 58 and work hard to stay in light, lean climbing shape. Sorry guys who want to look baggie . . . but I've worked to hard to get back in shape and showing it off is good for the soul. Fit is perfect, style is casual. All around winner. PLUS . . . this style is longer length which I need. 5/9, 122 27" waist. length goes slightly over top of shoes which I like.

I was at the BD retail store, and tried on some Credo pants, and was incredibly pleased with how comfortable they are. I then went home and ordered some Credo shorts, because I needed shorts more than pants, and am still very pleased with how well the shorts fit, and how comfortable they are. I've got a little bit of a waist I'm working on (curse you Toaster Strudels), but these were comfortable, and moved well around the legs. They didn't bunch up with exaggerated leg movements, and later while climbing, did not hinder me whatsoever. The pockets aren't too deep, or too shallow, and the waist adjustment strap fits comfortably under a harness. The only problem I've found is that they are expensive, so I've had to go to steep and cheap to buy them at a discount, making them sorta reasonable. I'm 5'9", and 165lbs.

I bought these for my dad who's new to climbing. These shorts are great! Fit true to size. I love the 98% cotton, 2% elastane which gives just enough stretch but still feels durable. The length to the knee is great!

I wear these shorts to work, around town, climbing, at home, you name it. Comfortable with enough movement to easily climb in and they're durable enough to be used almost daily. The adjustable integrated belt is a nice touch too.
