Adds a good layer of water protection if you ski or tour in wetter climates or conditions ( very nice right now in spring time).

superlight add on to the pack for small easy to access items, or as overflow with bulky gear. easy to remove .

When your spending the night out...

Gives me the flexibility to carry the overnight gear needed for a multi day ski tour.

Great Addition to a Cirque Pack

This lid is exactly as described. It adds the sometimes-necessary storage space to any Cirque Series pack. It is super lightweight and attaches easily. I use this most often for overnight hut trips. The lid can be easily stowed when not in use. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to maximize their cirque bag. I wish more backpacks would offer accessories like this to increase the function without having to buy a completely different backpack.

Nice little addition

This is a nice addition to a great pack. When you need to carry extra gear for a weekend Yurt trip, this bag has you covered.

Provides Easy Access to Small Goods

The top lid pocket on the Cirque 45 is too flat and almost useless for anything but a thin pair of glove liners, so I added the pack lid and provides space for sunglasses, snacks, sunscreen, glob-stopper, etc. If I have any complaints it’s that it comes with no installation instructions and it took a few minutes of experimenting to figure it out. Once attached it has never come loose, as stated in the other review, just sinch tightly and it’s solid. Great addition to an otherwise great pack.

Cirque Pack Lid

I purchased the Cirque pack lid in order to add some capacity to my pack as I was planning to use it on the Haute Route traverse. It worked really well for me, providing the needed space for snacks, gloves and glasses, keeping them readily accessible. It was easily removable when lightening up the pack to accend a summit. The strap that secures the lid on the front of the pack came undone while skiing at one point. This was easily remedied by threading it through the loop it attached to and then hooking it on the loop. This only happened once and only because the pack was not full enough to make it possible the conch the strap down tight. The Cirque Pack lid is a great addition to the pack when a convenient and accessible additional is needed. It worked very well for me and I will continue to use it on longer tours and traverses.

Lightweight, but doesn't close well

The product is lightweight and seems durable. It adds an important feature to a pack that is great, but largely lacking in organization and pockets. However, it's metal hook closure is way to small and easily comes undone with even minor movements. If BD makes the hook bigger this could be a great addition to the cirque pack. Otherwise, it's a frustrating add-on.
