Cirque 35L Backpack
Despite being one of Black Diamond's lightest, the Cirque 35 Backpack boasts enough space for backcountry tours and ski mountaineering missions. Designed for minimalists backcountry skiers and ski mountaineers, the Cirque features only the basics but still retains a full-featured design. It carries skis diagonally or at an A-frame, as well as your helmet, avalanche safety gear, ice axes, and even a climbing rope.
Although streamlined for minimalists, the Cirque still sports innovative technology that doesn't add a whole lot of weight to your back. The SwingArm shoulder straps and stretch waist belt provide active suspension and a streamlined fit. The Cirque is compatible with Black Diamond's AvaLung and SilNylon lid pocket for added safety and capacity when traveling in avalanche terrain.

Super uncomfortable for big days.
This pack is very light and for my use, I should have bought a heavier pack with more of a frame. The lack of frame in this pack makes it very uncomfortable to carry for long 12+ hour days. It’s fine for short half day tours where ski carry isn’t required, but I find this pack miserable on long days. Because it has no frame, it doesn’t carry weight well and it requires a perfectly stuffed pack to make A-frame ski carry not lopsided. I’m also small, so the waist belt does not go tight enough to alleviate the pain in my shoulders from the unsupportive pack. This pack is nice for carrying the basics for ski touring (including ice axe loops and helmet carry), but I wish it had a back panel for easier access as the side zipper isn’t very helpful. Also, when using a-frame carry the side zipper is inaccessible. Lastly, I really wish this pack had an outside water bottle pocket for warmer weather touring.

I love this pack.
It has everything I need, and it’s lightweight. It is easy to open and close even with gloves on. And has the perfect amount of pockets.

Sweet pack!
Great features for backcountry travel and carrying avalanche gear, light weight, lots of capacity, comfortable to wear. I love this pack.

Loved it immediately.
After procrastinating for several years I decided to get a new ski pack. Loaded it up and loved the fit and the way it carries a load. My mind struggled a bit with the lack of pockets for miscellaneous stuff, but I have worked that out. If you are thinking about this pack, do it!

One with the skier!
This pack is amazing. Everything is "in the right place". Helmet, shovel, probe, water bladder perfectly snug. Interior space is plenty for food, skins, puffy layer and shell. And most importantly the way the pack moves with your body while skiing is magical... I truly forget that it is on my back!

Really good backpack
Super good pack but I find weird that some straps are hanging too much in your back.

Very nice backcountry ski pack
The Cirque 35 is my everyday ski pack. It’s large enough for multi-day but trips. If I needed to carry a rope and webbing, I would purchase the larger Cirque 40. The pack is simple, light, carries well, without too many outside straps. For summer skiing, I wish that the pack was compatible with an inside water bladder. If there was a small sew-in Velcro tab, I could easily hang a bladder within the small inside pocket.

Thoughtful ski mountaineering pack
One of my favorite ski mountaineering packs. Love the food pocket on the hip so you don’t have to stop to grab a bite. The side zip to the main compartment let’s you get in easy. Also, the Avy compartment is great also for keeping your shovel and probe separated.

Very good pack
I have fall in love with the pack so far. A very great ski pack, very handly for touring. I would like to see BD make pack for summet trekking too.

Smart design clearly made by people who love to backcountry ski.
I'm very pleased with this pack - it's carries skis well, opens beautifully when skis are mounted (which almost no pack does), and it accommodate ice tools on the back (which is increasingly being left off other ski packs). The only thing I don't love is the placement of the zippered pocket at the top. You need a quickly accessible zippered pocket on a pack that doesn't require un-cinching the main compartment to access. This pocket is the only one on the pack and is an awkward shape and in an awkward location. BD would be better off moving this zipper down the pack a few inches so that it doesn't require the un-cinching the main compartment to access.
