It has a small chunks, and turns it into a fine powder when you crush them. Chalks really depends on the personal preference and the situation. This chalk seems like it has good quality, and it does make my hand really dry. However, I find it a bit expensive, and I prefer the Friction Labs more than this chalk. It is really nice of BD to make a 30g size, allowing us to test it in a small portion. I prefer you test it before buying a 300g. It might be a good option to blend this with other chalks, I need to test it out.

No sweat!

Didn't notice a super big difference with this chalk, however it did work great! Keeps my hands dry on those long, pumpy routes!

Regrets

I was at climbing regionals and while the chalk had been okay, I poured some into my chalk bag and it was so grainy that it would just fall of my hands before even getting on a climb. In the end I had to borrow some friction labs from someone.

I have only been climbing a few times with this chalk. It does exactly what it was supposed to do which is nice because I was looking for something high quality yet still affordable. This chalk coats well and stays on my hands for most of the routes I do in the gym. I highly recommend
