Why We Like The Black Diamond 9.9 Climbing Rope
The 9.9 Climbing Rope is Black Diamond's thickest and most durable climbing rope, and it's still versatile for virtually any style of climb. This rope balances the burliness required for big-wall projects with the beginner-friendly handling that new climbers need at the gym. Its Endurance rope boasts hardcore durability against rocky edges, and there's a half mark for easily identifying the rope's center for rigging rappels.

Great entry level climbing rope
This is a great rope to get for those just getting into rock climbing and aren’t quite sure what the different verbiage means. It’s a durable rope that has lasted me about 1 year of moderate use on rock climbing trips lasting 2-3 days. 60 m is long enough to where you won’t have to worry about not having enough rope for areas you will probably be visiting as a beginner and can probably carry over to a few more advanced areas as you progress. It’s pretty light weight as well and has been used in mud, rained on, and walked on, but as long as you take care of it where you can, it should last a good while from top rope climbing use and rappelling.

Great Top Rope
We use these ropes as top ropes for our rock wall. They get used all day everyday and last about 6 months.

Great to handle
Beautiful, exactly as described. Used this in J tree for a few days as it's first outing - fed through belay devices really well, seems pretty durable against the sharp rock, but time will tell if it keeps holding up.

Thick Sheath Offers Way Better Results
This rope is perfect. The sheath is tighter-wrapped than most of the ropes I have climbed on. This sheath is the highlight for me and is likely why I will return to this rope when I retire from my current one. The quality of the rope is fantastic.

Flawless
Great rope. Not prohibitively expensive, has a supple feel, soft catches, all the things I’m looking for from a sport rope. I have a 70m for the crag and a 40m for the gym.

New rope
Just bought this rope to get back into climbing. Feeling great in hand and coils nicely after the rat nest I had unpacking it. Can't wait to use it on an up coming trip to Craggin Classic at Devils Lake State Park.
