Why We Like The 9.2 Rope

We like to send it in style with Black Diamond's 9.2 Rope, helping us climb by not weighing us down. Black Diamond certified this rope as a single, half, or twin rope for climbing virtually any route in this world. It sports a burly sheath that stays strong against sharp rock edges, and there's a half-point mark that helps us find the rope's middle faster and rappel easier.

Great rope

So far this rope is great. Good feel and abrasion resistant.

Great rope!

This rope is VERY easy to handle. Well done! I think it is not a dry rope, but I don't get my ropes wet or dirty often, so it's a win for me.

All around nice rope

I like how light it is to carry. I like how it flows through my ATC. I also find it helpful that it is bright on the wall.

Nimble

This is a great rope. I can provide a better review once I extensively batter it around on cliffs.

Great handling and durability

This is my new favorite all-around rope–it knots well, handles well, not too stiff, and not to "slinky". My partner had one and I was impressed enough to buy my own. Has easily lasted as long as other smaller diameter single ropes I've owned.

Amazing feel for a rope

This rope has an amazing feel to it. Runs very smooth through the belay device. It is great when sending those hard routes.

Good rope

I used it with GRIGRI and it was smooth. The flexibility, durability, and visibility of the center marks are great.

Awesome rope with a great handle.

BD ropes are new on the market but they’ve done a great job nailing durability and handling. I’ve used several of their ropes now, and I can say that the characteristics do not change through the ropes life span. Some ropes can become cables but not the BD ropes. Enjoy!
