Camox Birdie Ski

The thing about birds is they very rarely fly in a straight line they like to squiggle, slash, and bounce around, which is obviously a lot more fun. The same could be said for skiing, which is why you'd rather treat the mountain like your own personal playground, rather than some strict boarding school. Luckily, Black Crows shares your free-as-a-bird philosophy and built the Women's Camox Birdie Ski, so you can squiggle, slash, bounce, and even straightline as much as you please.

The Camox Birdie has been in production for a few seasons now, but it has been redesigned with more rocker in the tip and tail, along with a semi-cap construction that puts ABS sidewalls underfoot that step down to a cap construction in the tip and tail. All this adds up to a ski that's more playful and forgiving, but is still plenty stable to ski fast in variable conditions. The mid-fat 96mm waist will float the occasional boot-top powder and rolls quickly from edge to edge when you're rallying groomers or hardpack. Mild camber underfoot gives the Camox Birdie the edge hold it needs to be considered a true all-mountain ski, while fiberglass laminates add the torsional rigidity you need to really open them up down wide-open groomers and wind-buffed slopes.

  • All terrain ski for ripping anything and everything you can find
  • 97mm waist balances float and edge to edge control for versatility
  • Blend of rocker and camber keeps your tips up and edges holding on
  • 18m turn radius is nimble while remaining stable at high speeds
  • Full poplar core provides a consistent flex and durable performance
  • Half-cap construction sheds weight while remaining durable
  • Fiberglass laminates add torsional rigidity for confident edging

Great all mountain ski

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was looking for a ski that could be my everyday ski - powder, groomers and those hard pack off piste days. These skis checked all those boxes! Very happy with my purchase.

All-Mountain Ripper

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've been riding a pair of 169 Atris Birdies this season and absolutely love them. Due to an injury, I've been groomer-ridden most of that season and felt the 108 waist of the Atris Birdie was a little overkill on the groomers, so I picked up these Birdies. At 97 mm underfoot, they are exactly what I was looking for - a skinnier, lighter version of the Atris Birdie that rips groomers but has the versatility to go anywhere. The Camox Birdies are stiff, but playful, super fast and smooth edge to edge, and have a perfect balance of rocker and grippy camber. They have a great 18m turn radius and are super easy to charge and turn in. I got the 165 cm so they are way easy to boss around, but ski long enough for my 5'4" frame. I'm a hard-charging advanced intermediate skier (mostly blues and blacks diamonds, some double black diamonds). I'm almost positive I'm going to pick up another pair of these to be my touring ski because they are so lightweight and versatile. I love these skis and definitely recommend them!
