    Almost better than home.

Although light and compact enough to take on backpacking trips, the Big Agnes Lost Ranger 15 Degree Down Sleeping Bag delivers comfort that will make you feel like you're in your bed back home. Its spacious and warmth-enhancing design keeps you tucked away in supreme comfort when you're car camping on a quick getaway or spending multiple days on the trail.

Flow Construction uses a revolutionary baffle design to eliminate insulation shifting and deliver uniform heat distribution to ensure consistent warmth throughout the night. Down keeps the bag light and compressible enough for backpacking without sacrificing warmth in the process. The down is treated with DownTek to protect it from loft-compromising moisture. Just to be safe, the soft and smooth fabric is treated with a DWR coating to repel any wayward water droplets.

A full-length pad sleeve keeps your sleeping pad from shifting throughout the night, and it maximizes thermal efficiency by protecting you from the frozen ground. Big Agnes also included an integrated pillow pocket to keep your camp pillow in place, and you can even stuff it with spare layers when you really want to go minimalist. The vaulted, tapered footbox gives your toes room to wiggle without creating large cold air pockets.

    Compact and comfortable.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is my first down bag. I was amazed how thick it became after it was unpacked. I was only in 40 degree Fahrenheit weather and I was able to easily stay "toasty" warm. It rolls up easily and is much more compact than my last bag. Easy to zip as well.

    Best Sleeping bag experience

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Super roomy, stayed on the pad, didn’t tie the bag in a knot as I rolled around. Best sleeping bag experience I have ever had.

    So amazingly warm

I purchased this bag since it was wider than most and still light enough to go backpacking long hauls with. It's amazingly warm as well. Loved the warm and comfort. I'll probably purchase another.

      Toasty

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Rated at a 15 degree sleeping bag, this is a trusty choice when temps drop that low. It is a down bag so your warmth to weight ratio is much better than a synthetic sleeping bag. I love the feature of having your sleeping pad slide right into the bottom of the bag so you don't slide off your pad all night long. I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a cold weather sleeping bag with a value.

      Keep it in the truck

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Snagged this bag for my "overall" camp setup and it's great. I keep it in the truck for winter nights in the desert and can just as easily pack it up for a weekend in the high country. Plenty light, warm and packs nice and tight.

      Big Fan

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I really enjoy this bag as a good 3 season bag. I've used it spring fall and winter camping and it has done a great job all three times. (I also have used it while crashing at some college buddies houses and apartments when couches are full after parties)

I sleep very hot so I leave the top of it cracked open a decent bit so that I don't sweat too much as I begin to fall asleep and then if I get chilly I don't even waste my energy opening my eyes to zip up the bag.

I'm 5'9 and I went with the regular / left zip, fits great. This paired with the BA Q-Core SL Rectangluar Pad has done wonders for me while sleeping at night. The sleeve in the rear of the bag does a great job keeping a BA pad in place preventing you from rolling off. The Q-core SL has an R value of 5 so it pairs well with this bag due to the fact that there is no insullation on the back of the bag to save space.

Zipper has only snagged a few times on me and never ripped any thing. Definetly a great pick up!

Big Agnes Classic Series Down Bags

Big Agnes Classic Down series offer warmth, compressibility and the Big Agnes System bag design. Classic Series bags combine a roomier contour shape with a narrower pad sleeve to provide an overall more comfortable and cozier sleeping experience than ever before. We’ve also redesigned the bag to be taller across the top so you can roll over more freely. The ergonomic hood gives you more range of motion so that you can move unrestricted while staying hooded. My Customer's Experience

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Used this bag for 5 nights in the Andes. Temps got down to about 23 F and -5C at night. I have to say the bag wasn't suitable for me at those temps. My feet were the coldest. My back was comfy, thanks to the Big Agnes Double Z pad!

      My Customer's Experience

I hear you, I have an older Summit Park 15-Degree and if it gets below 40 I start getting very cold. I have even used a bag liner with it and it was still cold in the early morning hours. I hate trying to sleep cold and then waking up cold!
