Why We Like The Lost Dog Sleeping Bag

It's much easier for us to say yes to that next backpacking trip when we have the 45-degree Lost Dog Sleeping Bag from Big Agnes in our pack. The synthetic fill keeps the Lost Dog light and easy to pack while also warding off water in late May storms.

When it's time to call it a night you'll forget you're even in the backcountry—the Free Range footbox and Free Range hood give you room to wiggle while the pad retainer keeps your bed in one piece. With all that comfort, you'll wake up rested and ready for another day on the trail, the lake, or of simple relaxing at the campground.

Not a Fan

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

The pad retainer won't hold my 78 inch pad very well and the zipper gets caught all of the time. It's only rated for 45 degrees. I could have found a wiser way to spend my money.

Great summer camping bag

Familiarity:

I?m a hammock camper and this bag is awesome for summer nights. I wouldn?t bring it if temps plan to drop below 50. Like previous review, I was in it when temps dropped into low 40?s and was very cold but the bag is only rated for 45° so that was my fault. The only fault I have found with this bag is that the pillow pocket on top is very small and doesn?t fit my stoic self inflatable pillow. Very durable, my dogs have laid on it, I?ve gotten it dirty and it has held up to it all. Zipper is nice and big and doesn?t get snagged very easily. When it does it?s very easy to pull out without damage. Highly recommend

Nice bag for warm nights

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Weight:

If looking for a light weight compressable bag for warmer nights then this is a great bag. Not sure how temp ratings are determined though because when I used this bag in dry conditions (tent) and the temperature dropped into the low 40's F I was cold. Even putting on a light head cap, gloves and my Northface jacket I was still pretty cold. A great bag for warmer temperatures though I'd estimate 55 to 60 F unless you sleep in winter long underwear/ socks.
