    Where wild things sleep.

Sleep easy when you visit wild and rugged places with the Big Agnes Fish Hawk 30 Degree Down Sleeping Bag. At first glance, you'll notice the Fish Hawk isn't your standard sleeping bag. In what Big Agnes is calling its Contour shape, the bag is slightly roomier across the shoulders, allowing you to easily roll over or sleep on your side. Where the Fish Hawk really shines, though, is with its hydrophobic DownTek insulation. This technology marries the benefit of down with the dependability of synthetic insulation. The treated down fibers will resist moisture so the bag will maintain its insulating properties even when wet. On top of that, the outer fabric is treated with a water-resistant finish to further protect against water.

In addition to its roomy Contour shape, the Fish Hawk also boasts several other features to make your backcountry sleeping experience that much more comfortable. The back of the bag is fitted with a full-length pad sleeve, which allows you to secure the bag to your sleeping pad. This means no more waking up with your sleeping pad at arms length while you're snuggled up against the cold ground. A soft and breathable polyester lining helps keep your temperature regulated, while a draft collar and tube prevent warm air from escaping throughout the night. The Fish Hawk comes with a nylon stuff sack and a mesh storage sack, so you can keep that down lofty between backpacking trips.

    • Innovative, comfy, and lightweight bag for backpack adventures
    • Water-resistant ripstop fabric holds up against the elements
    • Hydrophobic down filling maintains insulation even when wet
    • Contour shape adds room across the shoulders while wrapping you
    • Draft collar does its part to shield you from breezy gusts
    • Big Agnes uses its Rocky Mountain home to inspire its designs

    Great 3 Season Bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This bag is apparent that it was made with quality material and comfort in mind. It packs down to a small soccer ball and does not weigh much. I have slept in 22 degrees with this bag and no complaints on warmth! The fact you can "attach" it to your sleeping pad, makes waking up on your pad pretty much a guarantee. I love the company and this bag. Would recommend for any casual 2-3 night 30+ degree trips!

Love the Big Agnes sleep system!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This bag isn't the lightest bag available, but what it lacks there it makes up for in comfort! This bag utilizes a contour shape which is wide and has plenty of leg room and shoulder room. I am also a huge fan of the Big Agnes sleep system, which allows you to secure your sleeping bag onto your sleeping pad via a pad sleeve on the bottom of the bag. Whenever I use this bag I always wake up on my sleeping pad, which is huge for how much I shift around when I sleep. I've never slept on a more comfortable set up than this bag and my Big Agnes Q-Core SLX pad. I'm 5'10" and a regular fit me well.

Another BA bag from Big Agnes

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First of all the Big Agnes sleep system with the pad retainer is a total game changer, you can roll over all you want and you don't have to worry about loosing your sleeping pad or waking up off your pad. The Fish Hawk packs down to about the size of a nalgene with a compression sack. Check the Sea to Summit eVent and snag the small or medium depending on how much clothing you want to put in there. I can fit my sleeping pad (Big Agnes Air Core Ultra) , the fish hawk and a jacket (Atom LT) in the medium sack just fine.

Another Great Bag From Big Agnes

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I always buy and recommend Big Agnes sleeping bags. They are great. Their pad sleeves on the bottom make a huge difference for me because I move a lot when I sleep. With their sleeve, I dont roll off my sleeping pad. This bag is also a little wider than others Ive tried which is great for bigger guys or side sleepers. It packs down to the size of a bag of potato chips and is very light weight. So far I've only used it during the summer months, but judging from my previous bags it will be good well below the 30 degree rating. Just remember don't store down sleeping bags compacted in a stuff sack and it will serve you well for years and years. Big Agnes is also based in Colorado. I've never had to contact them for a personal warranty issue but with the few customers I've helped contact them I've seen Big Agnes take care of their customers immediately and fully.

    awesome bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have really updated my sleeping bag game this past year with an ultra light 20 degree for spring/fall backpacking, a -40 for winter camping, and now rounding out my set with the Fish Hawk. I went with this option because of the pad sleeve, the treated down, and the roomier shoulders. The pad sleeve and roomier space in the shoulders is awesome to have for someone like me, who wriggles around a lot in their sleep. The pad stays under me all night, no matter what position I find myself in. Definitely recommend this one.

Big Agnes Classic Series Down Bags

Big Agnes Classic Down series offer warmth, compressibility and the Big Agnes System bag design. Classic Series bags combine a roomier contour shape with a narrower pad sleeve to provide an overall more comfortable and cozier sleeping experience than ever before. We’ve also redesigned the bag to be taller across the top so you can roll over more freely. The ergonomic hood gives you more range of motion so that you can move unrestricted while staying hooded.
