    Lightweight luxury.

The Copper Spur HV UL2 MtnGLO Tent from Big Agnes combines its innovative LED light system with a lightweight design that any backpacker can feel good about putting in their pack. MtnGlo technology is an LED lighting system sewn into the upper seams of the tent that is powered by three AAA batteries (batteries not included). Once on, the lights create a nice mood lighting that's ideal for rigging gear, playing games, checking maps, or getting that perfect tent glow shot.

A silicone treated nylon fly and floor with fully taped seams keeps wet weather out when you're hunkered down for the night, while steep walls increases space without adding bulk to maximize space within the tent, so you can stretch out and play a game by the MtnGlo lights while you wait out the storm. When you're ready to break camp, the flexible lighting system allows the tent to be easily packed away just like any other tent, and the DAC aluminum Featherlite poles keep the trail weight under three pounds for comfort when you're logging long miles on a daily basis.

    • Backpacking-worthy weight with the creature comforts of home
    • Built-in MtnGlo LED lights illuminate interior of tent
    • All mesh body is ultralight and breathable
    • Seam-taped fly and floor protect against rain and damp ground
    • Fast Fly option shaves weight for ultralight trips
    • DAC Featherlite NFL pole system is light and sturdy
    • Mesh interior pockets feature headphone cord routing
    • The Rockies provide inspiration for Big Agnes
    • Item #BAG00B9

    Luxurious, Light, and Lights!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

It used to be that in the world of backpacking shelters you could either have a lightweight tent that sacrificed features, durability, ventilation, and weatherproofing, or you could have an 8lb fortress that would take up half of your backpack. Not anymore! You can now have a sub-3lb tent that is double walled, has a usable vestibule, abundant interior space and lighting! Big Agnes improved on a tent that already seemed perfect. Sitting in this tent it feels incredibly spacious with the 25% increase in usable area in the upper part of the tent over the previous model. For a two-person shelter having the extra shoulder room can make a world of difference for sitting up in the tent, stuffing sleeping bags or changing. I also love not having to sleep w/ my headlamp around my neck. The lights don't interfere with packing the tent down and seem quite durable. Another bonus are the tent pockets that are positioned to be above the user's head when lying down. I can listen to my favorite podcasts as I fall asleep without having to worry about damaging my headphones or getting my phone wet on the tent floor. There is not a tent on the market that exceeds across the board like the Copper Spur does in usable space, weight, weatherproofing, features, and warranty. This tent is a 10/10!
