Comfortable pad that packs down small and is relatively light weight. Is reasonable warm but you might want some more insulation if the temps start getting close to freezing.

Comfortable and I dream better when sleeping on it.

Packs down nicely and light weight
This is my go to sleeping pad. I love how light weight it is and it packs down so small. It's perfect for car camping and back packing trips since it doesn't take up much space!

Light packs small and slept like a baby on it. Would recommend

Long time favorite
I have never slept a night in the Wasatch better than one on an air core. The pad is so small and lightweight for packing purposes, and yet itâs so thick and comfortable in the tent. It really takes the lack of sleep factor out of long treks and weekend excursions. Furthermore, where theres no major weight penalty involved, itâs just a win-win situation. Iâd absolutely recommend this one to everyone who values a good nights sleep, as well as a low pack weight.

Bought this for my Dad, he is doing a bike packing trip around Lake Eerie and needed a sleeping pad. I have been impressed with all big agnes sleeping pads and the comfort they have in being thicker. Also they tend to be more durable than the Therm-a--rest, in which the nozzles always seem to develop a leak that cannot be patched. Will be BA for lyfe.

Packs down super small, and it is way comfortable when you blow it up. Very well made and a great choice for anyone looking for a good nights sleep outdoors.

So freaking small! I can compare the size of the packed pad to a large soda can. It's really comfortable I appreciate the construction. I am 5'1 so I purchased the Short size and I fit slightly off when I am full extended, however I sleep slightly curled up so it works perfectly. I bought the Regular size for my boyfriend who is 6'1 and it also fits him perfectly, his head rests on the pad itself.

Stuff in your bag!
This is one of the smallest and lightest sleeping pads that I could find. It is perfect for backpacking and packs down to fit in your bag. A must have for backpacking adventures if you want to get a good night's sleep!

I have the insulated version for colder temperatures and I went ahead and snagged this one as well for warmer camping. As always great quality from BA, easy to pump up and I haven't had any air loss with either of them. Compacts pretty small and is pretty competitive for weight considering it gives much more padding for us side sleepers than other pads.

Light and Small
Great sleeping pad, bought one for a friend, but tested it out first. Very comfortable and packs up small, she loves it!

Great sleeping pad
I’m 6’2” and 200lbs and this pad was plenty roomy. Takes a bit to blow up, but not bad given the comfort it provides. Rolls up to a little bigger than a beer can and is light. Worth every penny or ounce given the excellent comfort. Slept like a baby for four night deep in the Frank Church Wilderness.

Trying Not to Lose Sleep Over It
I purchased this pad after my 5 year old BA Oak Street finally bit the dust (awesome pad, I'll miss it). This model seems to be made with the same quality. It's lightweight, comfortable, and the new valve is leagues better than the old one. It works well with the pad system of my BA Lost Ranger bag, but I found a major disadvantage when using a different brand bag. Unlike my old oak street, the surface of the air core is really slippery (kinda like a pool float). This summer I used it with my lightweight marmot bag and pitched the tent on a very slight incline. Every time I would move, the bag would slide down the pad, thus, making for a restless night of readjustments. I've slept on greater inclines with my old pad and the same bag without incident problem. So if you plan on using a different brand bag (or one that does not have a sleeping pad system) be weary of the inclines.

Great Warm Weather Option
Super light weight and packs down to a fraction of the size of you Nalgene, ticks all the boxes for a great warm weather backpacking option. Works great on its own and even better in the Big Agnes sleep systems. One of my favorite features is the bleed valve button that allows you to let out small increments of air while you are laying on it in order to sink in to the pad a bit. Definitely meant only for the summer months though, anything cooler and you are going to want something insulated. Feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any questions on this item or any other of your backpacking needs!

Hey Matt, do you think this would suffice down to a 60 degree night.. my son is going to be hiking the west coast of Vancouver Island... ? He is 18.

best sleeping pad I've ever had
Got these to replace my bulky thermarest pad and was blown away by its tiny size and how comfy it was. I have never slept better in the woods! I can see it not being that great if you let your pup sleep with you in the tent but for the 2 legged - it's the best thing you can pack!

small, packable, not insanely comfy
The packable size is a huge win. I love their new valves. Very worth the extra half-ounce weight, but the convenience is amazing, especially with their handy dry-sack / screw-on "Pumphouse" which works better than I thought it would. The comfort of the vertical baffles, however, isn't super plush. If one has a Big Agnes sleeping bag that has sleeves to hold the pad, comfort would be increased, but in my regular bag, I wasn't as comfy as I am on my flat, one-baffle thermarest (which is heavy and bulky). Once I got settled in I slept quite well, but the Q-Core is much more comfy and worth the extra coin (unless you have a 'system' sleeping bag)

Anyone else have trouble
Every big agnes pad I've ever owned has had leaked after only a few months of use. I imagine the leak was somewhere in the valve. These pads also take a dizzy amount of energy to fill. No doubt comfortable but no way to repair the leak in the valve without sending it back. Big Agnes has always been really helpful with exchanges and warranty issues but even the pads that got swapped out had the same problem. Four pads between the q core and air core series.

I had the exact same problem. They were helpful but after two tries I had them send me a self inflater and now I need to find an air pad in another brand.

I have had my Big Agnes Q core since 2014 and do multiple hikes a year with it.. never have had any issues yet and into my 4th summer with it...

Compact, light and Sturdy
So most inflatable pads like these are super flimsy or they get a leak super easy or they can POP. Nobody has time for that S*** . So if you are looking for a reliable pad that can also be paired with the BA Fishhawk Bag then get this PAD!

Great for warm weather backpacking
I found this to be a great combination of value, weight savings and overall great construction. If you are looking for a sleeping bad that wont break the bank or sacrifice quality, buy this.

Big Agnes Air Core Ultra Sleeping Pads
The redesigned Air Core Ultra is a smooth and stable sleeping surface, easier and faster to inflate/deflate, warmer, tougher, lighter, and more packable than its award winning predecessor. Still the most economical warm weather pad available.
