    Transfer Snowboard Binding

Morning pow runs through the trees, park laps after lunch, and high-speed groomers in late afternoon is just another day in the life of the Bent Metal Transfer Snowboard Binding. The binding of choice for freestyle wizard Forest Bailey, it offers a nimble feel whether you're weaving between park features or throwing up pow slashes, and it has a versatile medium flex that shreds anywhere on the mountain.

What makes Bent Metal bindings stand out from the pack is the Flex Control Drive plate that sits under your foot. The one that comes with the Transfer features a shock-absorbing EVA layer on top and a reinforced nylon layer on bottom, with layers of magnesium fiberglass, eco-sublimated sheets, and a poly core sandwiched between to deliver a lively medium flex. Magnesium fibers transmit precise edge-to-edge performance without sacrificing freestyle flexibility. Low-profile straps conform to your boot to deliver lightweight and secure comfort, with no delay in response when you engage turns. The medium-flexing highback offers enough support for big jumps and steep lines, but it's still tweakable enough to take through the jib line. It's all attached to the board through the Pivot Disk, which has a reduced size to allow your board to realize its true flex potential.

    Love at first ride

These have been my favorite bindings that I've used so far. I've been able to do anything from surf mad pow to shred park. All of which I've never noticed anything negative. They have a nice tight fit that leaves you riding comfortably during the entire ride. 100% going to recommend them.

      I'm in lovvvvvve

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have an old pair of the Bent Metal Solution bindings, but I think these transfer bindings are my new favorites! I like how Bent Metal bindings are simple and sturdy. These bindings have the perfect amount of response and were perfect in the park and the powder. Overall a great all around binding. I definitely recommend investing in these! I have had my old ones for 3 years and they are still in decent shape from riding 2 full winters and summers in Oregon. I think Bent Metal has improved a lot over the past few years too and these bindings are perfect. I'm in lovvvve!

      More $ Isn't Always Better

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

In my search for the best all-mountain binding, I've tried a lot of the best offerings available. I found it quite humorous that the least expensive model I've tried was the option I liked the most. Sometimes less is more!

There was plenty of stiffness for carving, but the 6/10 flex drive plate still proved soft enough to pop around and have a lot of fun. The only downside of this price point is weight and materials quality. The Transfers are heavy and the straps and buckles are good, but not great. However, that isn't what you're paying for.

This binding works for those just setting up their first board as well as those looking to save a little while maximizing performance for their dollar.

      Bent Metal Transfer is amazing

I bought the Transfers because of the drive plate technology made in the US, but was astonished by the comfort and performance. The high density heel strap has zero pressure points, no matter how tight you ratchet them down. Speaking of ratchets, they use forged aluminum. Talk about bomb proof. I'm so happy with them that I recommend them to anyone looking for new bindings.

Bindings with a US Made part that work!

I've been riding for 27 seasons and tried old renditions of Bent Metals. These new Transfers are the best bindings Mervin Mfg has ever produced. With forged aluminum ratchets, high density heel and toe straps + flex control Drive Plates that are made in the US, how can you go wrong? All of the adjustability is tool-less too.
