    Not your standard bushcrafting knife.

Use the Benchmade Sibert 162 Bushcrafter Knife to whittle and carve creative designs into sticks and branches. As opposed to regular bushcrafters, this blade is made out of S30V stainless steel for whittling wet logs that won't rust or corrode your blade. The hand-blended G10 handle has a vulcanized spacer in the middle that's held together with pressed titanium tubing for a more firm grip.

Benchmade designed the handle so you can hold it comfortably in two ways: the standard position for quick and strong whittles, and closer up on the blade for a more controlled carve. Its sheath's buckskin leather has various attachment options like its belt loop, d-ring, or a hole in the bottom, so you can strap it to your waist or leg. The sheath also features a rod loop on the side for a fire starter, a snap closure, and an insert inside the sheath to protect the leather from the blade.

    • S30V stainless steel blade (58-60HRC)
    • High ground drop-point blade with polished finish
    • G10 handles with vulcanized spacer and titanium tubing
    • Leather sheath with D-ring, loop, and retention strap

    Great for survival

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love this knife. It is very comfortable to handle and durable. The spine is thick and great for batoning wood. The spine has a great edge for use with a Ferro Rod. It will throw a great spark. Everyone I have shown this knife is impressed. Cant wait to try it out more.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Expertly crafted and beautifully designed, this is a blade for the ages. The thick spine gives plenty of purchase to spark from a ferro rod as well as to split effortlessly through wood. The handle is specifically engineered to offer multiple positions to grip from. The sheath looks very well made. The leather is thick and the loop d-ring offer the convenience to hang the sheath.

    Definite buy.

    Favorite Knife

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This has quickly become my favorite fixed edge knife, and I take it with me on most long hikes and camping. It is made from superb steel and has a full-tang, great balance, and very durable handle. The sheath is beautiful leather and has both a belt loop and ring for carrying. Another amazing knife from Benchmade that will be used my whole life.

    American made

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Crazy good knife. A little on the higher side but I like supporting American companies. High quality steel and G-10 handles. Will take care of most needs for nearly any adventure and will last a lifetime if taken care of. #goatworthy.

    Bushcrafter knife

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Benchmade Bushcrafter is a good quality robust knife that is capable of a wide range of camp/backpacking tasks. This is my go to knife when I hit the trail. It comes respectably sharp.....mine just needed some stropping to bring it up to shaving sharp. The blade itself is of thick stock and full tang making it capable of batonning. The spine will strike a good spark off a ferro rod and there is a holder for one on the sheath. The grip feels good in my hand and the shape lends itself to being able to control the knife well. The sheath, although well made, is not my favorite design. It comes with a D ring and belt loop. I have found that attaching to a danglers is the best way to carry as it situated the knife slightly lower allowing for better draw and clearance from a backpack. I use a simple metal key ring holder/clip for this. Overall the size/weight combination is perfect for my liking. I purchased mine with a 20% off coupon to help offset what I thought was a rather high price. I would highly reccomend one!

    Another hit for Benchmade!!!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Being one who owns multiple bushcrafter type knives in varying steels, I feel that this one is really up to the tasks required for primitive camping and woodwork. It batons with ease, and is still able to carve due to the durability of the steel. My only concern with the S30v is the relative hardness. this makes for great edge retention, but makes field sharpening a little more difficult if one does not prepare adequately. All in all a great little knife!!
