    Not a bubble, but close.

You may wish you could surround your energetic little one with bubble wrap every time they head to the skate park or onto the trails, but that may hurt more than help. Instead, consider protecting your little ripper as they take on faster descents and new challenges with Bell's Ramble Helmet.

Bell uses its FormFit method to construct the helmet, which involves attaching multiple impact-absorbing segments to an internal skeleton to give the helmet a contoured, secure fit around your young's rider's head. Additional padding around the neck and cheeks gives the helmet fewer gaps and better cushioning for first attempts at mini-jumps and trails through the woods, and a chin bar buys added reassurance during inevitable spills. They're never too young to start developing their own style, so Bell includes a sticker sheet of designs so your little one can customize their new helmet.

    Perfect intro - full face

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is what it is... it'll take a pretty decent impact - but, if you're going 40+mph... prob spend a few more bucks. For my boys (7 & 10yr old) perfect... light & covers the grill.

    Decent Entry Level Helmet

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

For the price and the protection, this is a decent helmet. The upper half feels and looks like a skateboard-style helmet, and then chin bar will do the job of protecting the face. It's probably good for one crash and then it'll need replacement. I'm a DH MTBer, and I wouldn't expect this to last long at a bike park. One would want a better, higher-quality helmet for more performance-related purposes. However, for pedaling around the block, XC and trail riding, and even some beginner bike park riding for the wee ones, it's a good value. As your son or daughter develops skills on the bike and starts riding faster and/or taking bigger risks, you'll want to invest in a better quality helmet with proper padding and crash protection.

One thing to note is that when I took it out of the packaging, the neck pad was not attached to the helmet. The plastic piece that holds the pad has a piece of velcro on it, but it never grabbed on the mate piece in between the helmet shell and foam liner. Therefore, every time my son took it off, the pad fell out. I ended up supergluing it on because I didn't want to wait for a replacement and needed it immediately. That part was a bit disappointing.

    Better late than never

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Picked this up after my 6 year old crashed at the local pump track and needed the expertise of a plastic surgeon and 25 stitches sew his poor little face back together. Never again is all I can say. Picked up full face helmets for the whole family. Both boys love their new Bell helmets. I'm getting used to mine too (Bell Super 3R MIPS). So far I love it.

    Unanswered Question

There is nothing on your site...or Bell's, about what size head this helmet fits. Saying it's youth doesn't give me enough information
