Stinger Golden Dry Unicore Single Rope

Beal's Stinger Golden Dry Unicore Single Rope serves advanced climbers seeking challenging redpoints on sport crags or multi-day mountaineering trips in the alpine. Like all skinny ropes, this 9.4mm has an ultralight weight and a fluid feel; unlike most skinny ropes, the Stinger boasts a surprising UIAA fall rating for reliable long-lasting durability. Unicore's construction bonds the sheath to the core for extended longevity that also eliminates sheath slippage entirely. A black middle mark assists with quick and convenient rappels.

Best Rope.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I’m going on 4 years now with my Stinger, and it is simply awesome. Handles like a dream, has held up to a lot of abuse, still super pink, all around freakin rad. The Unicore construction adds a piece of mind for sure when moving over rough rock, or rapping through mixed terrain. The rope freezes up significantly less than a lot of others I’ve used when the ice is dripping. Did I mention that after all this time and abuse it’s still bright pink? Maybe not the absolute lightest, thinnest, rope out there but it’s not heavy, and has plenty of burl for a thinner rope. Seriously, spend the little bit extra and buy this one, the confidence a good rope brings is worth it. Bottom line: Have whipped. Will whip again ... and probably again. Sincerely, Beal Convert

So far so good

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

This is only my second rope which I've owned and also the smallest diameter. Having a slim and lightweight 70M rope is indispensable in Utah on long wandering multipitch routes. I've had my rope since early February and it's starting to show some pretty moderate sheath wear (August) from seeing regular winter desert use, and spring more abrasive granite. Solid buy, love the Unicore technology.

Everything's better in pink.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Digiulian prolly wishes she could send with this rope. Not only is it brilliantly pink, but it's also a great light-and-fast redpoint rope for projecting tough sport ropes. I'd even take this light rope into the alpine. Its Unicore technology stays strong for seasons. I'm hoping this one lasts.

Great Rope

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've had this rope for about two months now and I absolutely love it. Doesn't pig tail like others I've used, and feel great in the hand/belay device. It also has a very durable sheath. Having pulled this rope over very sharp edges, I'm shocked it's still in great condition! I'll be using the rope for ice this winter and will update the review. But so far for Sport, it's a champ.

Beal's Unicore Technology

Awesome video of a guy taking a razorblade to a rope to show the features of a unicore rope vs a non-unicore rope! Which do YOU prefer???

is the golden dry blue stinger a unicore rope like these ropes?
