    Basin and Range Nailed it

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

Fit and quality of the chinos can't be beat for the price. Great for the office or around town. Very comfortable. Will buy again.

    Nice Pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 36
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 225lbs

These are a bit more performancy than officey but still nice pants. I would have liked a little less tapering in the lower leg but I do like the stretch and the gusset.

    Look great Fit better

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I really like the look and style of these pants but it was the fit that really caught my attention. I have tried several other similar styles and never really found one that I loved until now. I usually find that most hiking pants fit me like skinny jeans but didn't find that to be the case here. I have worn these while sitting at my desk, driving for hours straight and hiking Zion Canyon, never had to think twice about whether or not I picked the right attire. They have a gusseted crotch which greatly improves comfort and mobility. The fabric is also strong and durable while still being light weight.

    Love these pants!

I really love these pants, but definitely wish they were a bit slimmer. The fit is great, and I love the length. The gusseted crotch is great for movement when I am out roaming around.

    I like them

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 32x32
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 170lbs

These pants are quite tapered at the calf and ankle. Not as bad as skinny jeans.
Quite comfortable with the stretch. The cotton does not make them water repellent, but they are more jean like and don't have that swishing noise like the fabric on the 4 way stretch water repellent stain repellent fabrics.
I give these pants 2 thumbs up. I would even like these pants without the knee articulation stitching which I feel are unecessary with this product, and would enhance the more casual jean like appearance.

    Love the feel

I really love the feel of these pants!! I would ware them everyday if my girlfriend would let me!! they did fit a little snug when i got them and i was a little worried i would have to exchange them or be at risk of ripping them, but after a few time with them on, i found they became a lot more comfortable. i like to use these on cooler hikes but mostly around town when i go to work or the store! They are stylish and make me look really good (witch is not easy to do!) being a cotton blend i didn't think these pants would hold up quite as well as i liked, but so far i have had no problem, in fact they made it through a few situations where i thought they would not make it!! I recommend these pants, and hope to get extra pairs soon!!

    Initial impression - fantastic!

This is my first day wearing these, but I love them. I wish I had some more time to see how they breakdown, but as of now I would recommend them to everyone.
Great casual pants. Great fit, and very comfortable.

Great Material - Runs a little tight

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 32
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 185lbs

The pant material is great and appears that the overall quality is there. However, if you dont't have twigs for legs then they will be very tight. I ended up returning as the they were fitting me a little too tight in the thighs. Also the color of the charcoal on the website is very misleading. When I actually got them they looked black, not the darker gray I was expecting.

Love them. Cooler than cotton pants in the heat. They flex and move much better than regular pants.

    Casual All-Arounders

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 34

I've put these pants through a variety of conditions and activities, from desk work at the day job, to muddy hikes, to off-width crack climbing, to summer-time backcountry snowboarding. The durability has been great, and the fabric still looks new. The fit is nice, true to size in the waist, good length, and I like the taper. It seems that after one wash the leg opening relaxed just a little bit which is nice. They are a trim tapered pant, perfect for casual situations, or forays out into the wilderness. I would recommend them.

    Casual All-Arounders

    Love this Pant

    • Size Bought: 34
    • Height: 6'2"
    • Weight: 205lbs

I purchased this pant for my husband and he loves them. He's a true 34, 6'2 205 lbs. and these pants fit him like a glove. He loves the stretch in them, he even did a few squats and the pants recovered their shape. The khahi color is great, and fit his chill vibe.

    Great casual pants with stretch

I've been wearing the Basin and Range Storm Mountain Pants in Dark Khaki for a couple weeks now and have really been liking the fit, and stretchy material. The fit is nicely tailored and the material stretches well, but not too much - the pants are still durable and breathe well. The DWR coating is a nice touch. I was at an outdoor concert this weekend and it rained quite hard; the Strom Mountain Pant's DWR made the water bead-up and roll off without the pants really wetting out. This was a relief, as most times I wear a rain coat with casual pants, they get soaked from the water running off the jacket - that is not the case with these pants, and I was psyched to say the least. Fit is true to size - I am 6'2" 185 and wear 34x32 in the Storm Mountain Pant.

    Awesome Pants

I purchased both colors of the Storm Mountain pants and a pair of the shorts too? They fit well, look great. I wear them climbing and hiking and they don't restrict movement no matter how far I'm stretching. They look good too. I wear them to the office during the week and then they are my new go-to pants on the weekend. Bar far my new favorite go to pants and shorts. I would recommend these to anyone who needs durable clothing that can handle high activity without restricting movement.

    Casual performance

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 32
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 160lbs

Running around doing errands, painting the house, busting out a quick hike, then heading to the concert at Red Butte, all in a day? This is the pant. casual look and nice modern taper, but gusseted and ready for action. The lightweight fabric feels durable, yet supple. Knee tacks add to comfort in motion, and the leg opening lends to a more modern silhouette. Overall a great pant.

    Slim and Tech

As a younger active guy, I'm always on the search for pants that have a nice slim clean look, but that I can wear all over the place. I've had these pants for a few months now, and have been loving them for that versatility. The fit is not skin tight, but nice and slim so I enjoy wearing them around town, to the office, to the bar, etc.. And the material is a nice light tech material so they stretch a bit for mobility, and don't get too hot when biking around a whatnot. I've been wearing this a lot to bike to work, go out on the weekends, and even on several camping trips. They definitely don't have the utility of a pure outdoor-oriented pant, but to me the looks/style are worth it so I can make due with having a couple less pockets when I'm outdoors.

Fit is true to size, I am a 34x32 and these in the 34 fit great. The inseam is a little on the short side, definitely not enough length to cuff them so if that is your style you might be bummed, but I like that I don't have to roll them at all.

Overall I am very satisfied with the pants, and am going to add the Charcoal color to my wardrobe for sure.

    Great Hiking Pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 30
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 145lbs

I bought these because I was looking for a pair of hiking and camp pants that were lightweight but weren't completely synthetic fabric. I've been very happy with these so far. The material is light enough for warmer hikes, but substantial enough to block wind and chilly mornings.

The 3% Spandex and darts at the knees are really nice too, for high step ups and squatting down. I love the cut (regular from waist through thigh, a slimmer, more articulated knee, and then regular from the knee to the hem), they remind me of Fjallraven trekking pants.

I bought the Dark Khaki (slightly darker than picture) which reminds me a lot of the Carhartt Duck Cloth Khaki color. The big pockets are great for storing all the junk I end up carrying with me while hiking.

I usually buy 30x30s, and these are all 32" inseams, which was just a little long for a shorter guy like me, so I cuffed them once. Perfect.
