This jacket exceeded my expectations. I took it on a Yurt trip, originally a little concerned it might not be technically enough for a 12 mile expedition into the backcountry, since the jacket seemed a little more geared toward city life (for which it does great with is beautiful color, fit and off center zipper.) The jacket is primaloft synthetic insulation which was an excellent idea; stayed dry (with the DWR coating) and warm in small snow flurries. There were times the sun was out while touring, and this jacket was also breathable and I was absolutely not too hot. Once at the Yurt the jacket was great for walking around camp, as well as chilling with peeps making dinner. There is also an internal pocket bottom right hand side which holds your phone. An excellent feature. This jacket was very functional, and looks great. A definite must buy.
I'm wondering what the Primaloft consists of, is it down or a synthetic material?
Hey there Kristin!
Primaloft Silver is a continuous filament insulation made with fibers of differing thicknesses. Primaloft silver is a synthetic material commonly seen as an alternative to down! They come in different types; gold, silver and black!
