Go Ahead, Book That Trip.
From Portland to Chicago, the Barbour Women's Gaiter Quilt Jacket ensures your wanderlust won't have to take a back seat to plummeting temperatures. Its nylon shell stands up against misty conditions or light snow flurries, while the synthetic insulation shields you from cold temperatures. The horizontal baffling keeps the insulation in place for reliable warmth and zig-zag mountain stitching on the yokes adds a playful touch to the classic look. The hood provides additional weather protection as you stop at overlooks or take in the sights on observation decks. With knit cuffs, and extended length, and a stand-up collar, the Gaiter Quilt Jacket effectively seals out cold so you can wander and explore in comfort.

This is a great basic parka. It's not flashy or over-styled at all, but the fit is flattering and the color, "olfry", is a warm tone that goes with everything, as does the navy colored lining which is visible when the hood is down. The color is better than it looks online. You can adjust the hood for a snug fit with toggles that are easy to use, even with gloves on. The knit cuffs are a nice feature. It's the perfect coat for long walks, hiking or everyday use on milder winter days (30s and above) when a heavy down parka is too much. It's super comfortable.
