    Hey, it's better than flippers.

Unfortunately humans haven't developed winter boots attached to their bodies yet; in the meantime, you can rely on the Baffin Evolution Boot. Comfort-rated to a whopping -70F, the Evolution uses Diamond-lite insulation to trap heat and keep out cold even in the most unforgiving landscape.
    • Thermaplush removable liner adds insulating power and manages moisture
    • Timberwolf leather uppers are abrasion- and weather-resistant for maximum durability
    • High-friction Icepaw outsoles offer grip and traction even on more slick terrain
    • Seam-sealed to fully keep out the weather

    Warmest boots on the planet

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I work in the snow, I work in the cold. -20 degrees F cold sometimes. These are simply the warmest boots on the planet. I've tried a lot of different offerings from Salomon (best snow boots next to Baffin), North Face, Columbia, Sorrel, Keen, Cabela's, Kamik and these Baffin Evolution's blow all those out of the water. They are WARM, light, comfortable, waterproof. I've had mine for 5 winters averaging about 50-60 days now and they are still warm, waterproof, comfortable. One warning. For me, if it's above 30 degrees, they can be too warm. That's however, a good problem.

    Super Warm

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 165lbs

I have been using these boots for about 2 months now and they are great. They are beyond warm and my feet have never been cold once in them. They have a ton of insulation in them and if you are looking for a great winter boot for really cold temperatures I would check this one out for sure. Since there is so much insulation in them you will want to size up from your normal shoe size. I sized up a half size and they fit great.

    Great Boot

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: Runs small

This is a great boot for my son who works at a ski lodge; it keeps his feet warm but in extreme conditions still has to use a foot warmer. He normally wears a size 12 but the 13 fit much better especially with thick socks. Excellent service and fast delivery.

    Love my new boots!!

    • Fit: True to size

I have had my Evolution boots for about a month and just love them. It feels like I'm putting on my slippers when I put these boots on. We have had one of the coldest winters on record in Connecticut, but when I have these boots on, my feet would never know this. I called Baffin directly to ask them some questions on these boots before I purchased them. The lady I spoke to at Baffin was very helpful. I was worried that they may run small like a lot of winter boots do but she told me that this model is true to size and she was definitely correct. Great boot and it's made in North America!!!

    So far so good

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I got these a couple weeks ago and have worn them about 4-5 times. Seem super warm and comfortable. They are not crazy bit and if you don't wear skinny jeans your pant leg will fit over the top. I have some questions about the stitching that attaches the upper part to the boot base. I feel like I could see that failing over time or starting to rip apart. I could be wrong it just seems like that could be a possibility. Overall a good boot so far

Hi Chris- Its funny that you mentioned the stitching on your new boots already. My boots, which I have worn snowmobiling for 10 plus years now, just fell apart in the last 2 days. I used shoe goo on the first one but the very next day the other one fell apart, unrepairable. This is the reason I am back on this web site! I loved my boots and really put them through some tough wear and will absolutely buy another pair. Hell, 11-12 dollars a year aint bad!

    Excellent quality!!!

When I first got these boots... They were HUGE!!! However they are extremely comfortable and very, very warm!!!! They are great for any outdoor activity, no matter the cold!

P.S. The only problem with these is the sizing: in order to get the size that fits you, you have to get one size bigger. e.g. I normally wear size 12 running shoes so I had to order size 13 boots to make sure they fit.

      VERY warm and comfy

So I bought these boots and took them out snowshoeing. First, they offer an extremely comfortable insole and are quite warm. They are also light/small enough to allow you to perform somewhat technical movements (ie. they don't get in their own way), at least while snowshoeing. Guaranteed there are lighter/smaller boots out there, but may not be as comfy. My only issue was that since they fit snug with the ankles, they really did a number on my ankles (in terms of bruising) first time out. I remember this happening when I used to ski as well with ski boots. Your ankle has to get used to it. I *think* this is common for any boot that really hugs the ankle and where you are doing things that require constant bending of the ankle such as hiking. The next day I ended up not lacing them all the way up and that made a difference in terms of ankle soreness. Overall I would recommend them.

        Prefer Baffin Control Max

Shares most of the attributes of the Control Max: like a cushy, warm, supportive, slipper. The cuff design is very similar to a ski boot. Incredibly comfortable. Compared to Control Max model, Evolution has slightly lower cuff. Also, Evolution model is harder to tie closed; loops are much smaller and tighter. Big loops on Control Max make getting in/out easier. Both are great choices, though. Fantastic gear.

          Baffin Evolution Boot

I love my new Baffin Evolution Boots. They are super warm and comfortable with great treading. I just purchased them so I do not have a good deal of history wearing them yet. Only time will tell how they perform and last. Boot does seem sturdy. I will post some other reviews as I wear them. I would consider this boot mid-weight.

            Unanswered Question

I wear 10 1/2 wide will the size 11 fit me does not say how wide they are I like to get the for icefishing
