Great for a ski hut- not for backpacking

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I really love these booties in more enclosed structures. They keep my feet the perfect temperature from a back-country hut to my home. Not sure I would back pack with them or take them outside. They don't pack down well and don't have a stuff sack like other booties might. Also the bottom of the booties are okay on hard dirt, not sure how durable they would be in other situations

Hey Shannon - this is great feedback. Thanks for writing!

Mixed Experience

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

In most ways these were exactly what I've been looking for. They are EXTREMELY warm and comfortable. One other review mentioned seams inside that were annoying. I noticed that as well however after a few days they softened up and were no longer noticeable. Someone else mentioned fur inside -mine don't have fur. Should they? I really wanted to give these 5 stars because they really are extremely comfortable. BUT - after not even a month of wearing them, the material on the bottom that prevents slipping (which is just the name of the slipper in an anti-stick materiel) is wearing off and they are now very slippery on my wooden floors making them dangerous for a fall. For this reason I might call the company and inquire about a replacement - unsure if that's realistic as the next pair will probably do the same thing. But I won't be able to safely wear these too much longer. The other disappointing thing is the padding on the bottom is not particularly thick so it just feels like I'm walking on my hardwood floor with fabric over the bottom of my feet. I will wear them as long as I feel it's safe, then it'll have to be back to LL Bean very padded, non-slippery slippers. Disappointing.

Sleeping bag for your feet is accurate!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I love these booties. I wear them around the house, and also sleep with them on until the bed warms up. I like them because they aren't tight like socks, and they are warm without getting too hot. My husband has them also, and he wears them in the house and to sleep. I have washed them and dried them in the machine on delicate.

Uncomfortable

These look like they would be very warm slippers but as soon as I put them on I felt something at my heel. Both slippers have a very large lump where the seams meet near the heel, one worse than the other. Feels like a rock is between the fabrics. Have to return.

Very Comfy

Bought these for my mom and she loves them. She wears them non stop in her house during the winters. Very warm and comfy.

Magic

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

After getting some of these for my brother as a gift, I had to get some for myself. They run true to size (my 7.5 feets fit well in a medium), and are incredibly cozy! I love wearing them about the house, as well as camping and winter hut trips.

Comfy!

Great booties for hangin around the fire! If you get cold feet then you need these! Super warm and a pretty tough sole, so you can still wear them around the house without worrying about wearing out the soles.

Amazing!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've had my fair share of down booties, and these ones are the best! I wear them outside, inside, in light snow, in the desert, you name it - and they stand up to all of it. They also have a furry inside that is so cozy and comfortable. I'm never getting any other kind of down bootie again.

River Trip Life Savers!

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I borrowed these from a friend for a rafting trip in November, and I loved them so much that I'm sending a pair down the Grand Canyon with my friend in December! Absolute life savers on cold nights at camp. Definitely not great for rainy nights, they aren't waterproof and are more of a slipper style, but so warm for sitting around the fire or cooking dinner! I ordered a bit big so I could wear warm socks in there as well. So awesome.

Great dry camp booties!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is the second pair of booties I purchased. These slippers are super comfy and warm in colder weather. The soles are not super think so walking over rocky areas or wet ground can be uncomfortable - unless you have super tough feet! My sister loves the pink color and when her old pair were ruined there was no question these were her go to. These slippers are light and pack away easily so you can take them anywhere.

Toasty Toes

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I picked these up for a winter yurt trip, and they've ended up being one of my favorites pieces of gear. They are super comfy, and VERY warm- perfect for winter use for me, though I probably couldn't wear them in more mild spring/fall temps. I love that they have a more durable sole- I could walk around outside on the packed snow no problem, and the grips worked well. I am a size 7, and the M fits well- a little roomy, as to be expected with the multi-sizing scheme, but allows me to wear a pair of socks comfortably. Highly recommend if you need a pair of toasty winter booties!

Great at the end of the day

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I take these car camping and backpacking. Super packable and worth it. They are super warm and cozy and great to stick your feet in after a long day in hiking boots. They are good to kick around in camp with but you wouldn't want to walk too far in them or on rocks. They don't have heavy duty soles.

Warm bootie; not outdoor proof

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I purchased these booties for my mom who is diabetic and gets cold super easy. We have purchased other slippers similar to these but first time purchasing this brand. They are super warm and the drawstring helps them stay on your feet. My mom loves wearing htese around the house and when she sleeps. The downside is that she wore them outside the other day in a light rainstorm and they soaked all the way through to her socks. There was no protection from the elements which leads me to believe a quick trip in dry weather to the mailbox is about all these booties should see of the outdoors. Great booty for warmth but not so great in the outdoors.

Warm Toes for the Win!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

My partner has had frostnip on her toes too many times, so her feet are pretty much always cold. On backpacking trips, it's a rush in the cold weather to set up the tent so she can crawl into her sleeping bag. We bought these booties not expecting much from them, thinking they would be cheaply made but worth a try, and boy were we wrong. A few frigid nights camping and she has fallen in love with them, wearing them regularly when we were staying in a cabin, and now daily around the house. I won't be surprised when the day comes that she starts wearing them out on errands - like to the grocery store - and they fall apart. For the price point though they are cheap enough to replace! Fits true to the size chart with room for a thicker sock and the drawstring keeps them from slipping off inside a sleeping bag.

Bought for myself, then as a gift

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I use the low cut men's slippers for cold days at the house and on yurt trips. I just bought these for several family members and wish I had bought this version for myself. It seems to solve the most annoying issue i have with mine where my foot occasionally slips out. They are very warm and the nonslip grip is great

These are the most comfortable slippers ever. The only thing is they wear out fast.

Are these machine washable?

Are these machine washable?

Anna, I have heard of some people machine washing and even machine drying their Cush Booty Slippers, but Baffin does not recommend it. Instead they suggest hand washing with a mild detergent and air drying. Personally I would suggest picking up some Nikwax Techwash for washing.

The specs say the lining is shearling. Guessing not! Down? What is the fill power?

Hi Candi - these have a synthetic fill that should keep you warm down into the 20's if being worn camping or backpacking. The lining itself is indeed shearling (that would be the material against your foot).

Faux shearling?

I could not find the specs on the fill. Down, polyfill, fleece, or ??? Is there a tempurature rating? I want them for snow camping just for sleeping in my bag so my feet are warmer.

Still looking for an answer about the fill content of these booties. Is there a Baffin sales rep who can address this?

What kind of support do these provide? Any arch support?

None.

unfortunately there is no support for these booty's. think of them as a sleeping bag for your feet! cush is different than a slipper. it has a soft nylon upper, cozy insulation, elasticized lockable tie and a slip resistant micro-suede bottom - excellent for around the house or for traveling. cush are equally comfortable on planes, in hotels, when winter camping, even to keep feet warm in the sleeping bag! NEVER have cold feet again when you purchase a cush booty!

Is the Baffin Cush Booty Slipper BAF0031...

Is the Baffin Cush Booty Slipper BAF0031 washable? It is the one important thing that I need to know before I decide whether it is what I want.

Yes, they are washable. But I forgot what special washing instructions they come with. I also have not washed them yet, but I am getting ready to, as soon as I find some instructions...

Definitely recommend to handwash and let them air dry. I used the washing machine and when I removed them, I noticed some areas where the seams were already busting! :(

please handwash and air dry, best to air dry so that the filling doesn't bunch....enjoy your slippers!

I have washed them on delicates and air dry.

I wash mine on the dedicates cycle and let then air dry, good luck this worked for mine and I have had lots of them

what if any kind of grip does the sole have?

there is not much grip as they are intended for in the house or travel, also fall and winter camping. they do have a micro suede bottom to help you not slip on hardwood floors, vinyl or tile.
