An Italian classic for the backcountry.

A zesty twist on an Italian classic, the Backpacker's Pantry Chicken Piccata with Tagliatelle Pasta is as full of flavor as it is of protein, and hits the spot after a long day of hiking to camp. Delicate egg pasta, parmesan, capers, all-natural chicken, and a light lemon-garlic sauce all come together to redefine what it means to cook dinner on the trail.

    • A zesty Italian chicken classic for refueling on the trail

    Better Than Home Cooked

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought this on a whim just to try and I was SHOOK at how good the taste was. This tastes better than some of the meals I make for lunch, and the cost was not that much more.

It is super convenient to take one of these for a work lunch or on a trip. As Brad M. said yes the sodium is high so PLEASE be mindful of that, but the flavor is even higher.

36g of protein and less than 600 cals make this an ideal meal for after a workout. Just boil some water and wait and you've got a great meal waiting for you.

    Will buy again no doubt.

    Really....really bad

This is essentially inedible. Imagine taking a container of salt and eating 2 or 3 tablespoons. If you eat the whole package, you just consumed 120% of the daily recommended sodium intake....read the label. I just can't imagine how this product is even available for sale. Has no one from the company tried it? Obviously, being in the backcountry, I had no where to throw the package away, so I had to keep it with me. Occasionally while digging other things out of my pack, I would catch a whiff of this "meal" and it just made me ill. Several of the other meals this company produces are quite good. This one, is not. At all.
