- I've used it several times
- True to size
- 6` 5"
- 205 lbs
We have a family of 4 (2 young kids). Now when we go camping it's turned into a battle on who gets to sleep on them (versus our older and WAY less comfortable sleeping pads). These blow up easy and pack down nice and small (we only car camp with them so I can't speak to taking them on the trail). They are insulating (last week we camped and it got down to 38 and breezy) and this plus the sleeping bags kept my kids nice and warm in our tent. At 6'5" I am at the upper range of "fitting" most things. My ankles barely hang off the end when I stretch all the way out - so unless your stretched way out you should fit nicely on this pad!!

Seems to hit all the marks except that it doesn’t come with an inflation bag like the Therma-rest and the Big Agnes. How hard is it to blow up?

Bootboiler: it’s says it comes with Vortex

I’ve personally never slept on any air inflated mattress or pad that didn’t lose significant air during the course of the night. Until now. I’m 250 lbs and this pad allowed me to sleep like a billy goat in a barn. Easy to inflate. Highly recommend for extra comfort.

Did you have anything else underneath you and the sleeping pad? For example a sleeping bag, quilt, or a blanket? Or was it just your back directly on the sleeping pad? Next question. In your opinion do You think the Nemo is well Worth the almost $200? I live in NE Wisconsin, by Green Bay (Go Packers) moreover our camping seasons are very limited. Unfortunately. ☹️ I just want to make sure I am finding the Great quality for the price.

Bring your Bed to the Backcountry
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I was lucky enough to be one of the Gearheads tasked with giving ideas to our product team and NEMO to help design this pad, and also got to mess around with it during a photoshoot a few months back! It's definitely much larger and more comfortable than most other backpacking pads out there. No crinkly material means it's nice and quiet so you wont wake yourself up or anyone else camping with you, and it's still not heavy for how large it is! I really love the Vortex capability to get the pad inflated quickly without having to get lightheaded. A definite add to my gear closet for more comfort oriented and calmer backpacking trips!

How similar is this pad to the Nemo Tensor insulated wide?
June 26, 2020
Hey Kevin! Yes In our colab with NEMO we asked them to use the Tensor Wide as the model. This is effectively the same pad but with our own branding.
June 4, 2020
Hi there, is this the same dimensions as the Regular Wide Tensor? Including the 3 inch thickness? Is the difference the 30D bottom? Also is the 21 oz weight with the stuff sack and pump bag or without? Thanks!
