Backcountry x NEMO Nachi Tent

We styled the Backcountry x Nemo Nachi Tent to blend into mountainscapes right around dusk when we're gathered around the fire with family or friends. Well-balanced between comfortable livability and light packability, the Nachi is a practical option for both backpacking and car camping trips. It weighs and packs like a backpacking tent, except steeper walls give it a roomier feel that most backpacking tents lack. We sized the floor to fit two of our widest sleeping pads for a surprising amount of space.

  • Backpacking tent built extra livable for weekend camping trips
  • 2-person capacity sized to fit two Verata Insulated Wide Pads
  • 3-season versatility pairs a removable rain fly with a mesh canopy
  • DAC poles include color-coded clips and webbing for quick setups
  • Dual doors with vestibules offer ample gear storage and access
  • Pockets for lights and smaller gear like topos, phones, or batteries
  • Includes duffel storage bag, stakes, guy-out cord, and repair kit
  • Item #BCCZ22R

Nice looking tent except for the multi-multiple logos. Kind of goofy!

Easy and sturdy!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought the Nachi for backpacking with my 6’6’’ husband and we were both extremely impressed with how quick and simple the set up was! He was barely able to sit up right in it, but the tent was large enough for both of us (I’m 5’8’’) to sleep comfortably. (Definitely couldn’t include our husky though!) There are pockets on opposite ends to stash devices, and it was beautiful to just stare up at the stars without the rain fly. We endured hours of rain and wind on the second night, and the tent held up to the wind with its low profile and kept us dry. The break down was also just as simple as the set up.

Good day, after your having used this tent, is it capable of possibly using a vestibule to cook in. I have seen that as an option suggested with other tents.

Quality Beginner Setup

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was lucky enough to be one of the Gearheads tasked with giving ideas to our product team and NEMO to help design this tent, and also got to mess around with it during a photoshoot a few months back. It's a solid piece of gear and I'm excited to test it further and further out in the field. The pole design makes it super easy to set up, I'm 6'2" and found lots of room inside, the two doors and vestibules are great for easy access and more storage, and its made from solid durable materials. What more could a new backpacker ask for? I especially love how the fly attaches to the poles directly for a solid connection that you can tighten or loosen as needed. Super stoked to get outside and spend as many nights in the Nachi as I can!

Hi Josh, Any warranty or footprint that comes with this piece?

Josh, I have the same question as Adrian. Just curious about a footprint and the awesome Nemo warranty.

Just bought the tent and did a test run on setting it up. A footprint is not included.

Hey All, This tent was designed with a 68 denier floor, this beefed-up fabric was intended to not need a footprint at all!

Good day, after your having used this tent, is it capable of possibly using a vestibule to cook in. I have seen that as an option suggested with other tents.

Where is this tent made?

Recently bought this tent and was wondering what the guy line is for and how it is used?

Hey Chase, Thank you for your question! The guy lines are attached to the tabs that are on the rainfly. You attach paracord to those tabs and then attach those out to either to trees, the ground, or other surrounding secure items. The guy lines are used to increase stability, ventilation, and space. You could read more about them in this article I found online. https://www.greenbelly.co/pages/how-to-setup-guylines-and-stake-down-a-tent

Which warranty will this be under? Backcountry or Nemo?

Hey Steven, This will come with a limited Backcountry warranty. If there are production defects at any time we will take it back for an exchange or refund.

Does this tent include a footprint or can one be bought for it?

Hey Paul, The Nachi tent has a much higher denier fabric along the bottom of the tent, 68D polyester ripstop, PU. This was built into the design to eliminate the need for a footprint. I hope this helps!

what's the difference between this tent and Aurora 2p ? I see no difference in size or in fabrics. Why is there such a difference in weight ? (4lb 14oz Nachi) vs (5lb 7oz Aurora)

Hey Silver! This tent was designed using the Aurora 2p as the template. We did make modifications in production that would leave our Nachi tent more lightweight and geared to be a versatile backpacking tent. This tent is lighter weight, while not skimping on the details!
