Backcountry x NEMO Nachi Tent

We styled the Backcountry x Nemo Nachi Tent to blend into mountainscapes right around dusk when we're gathered around the fire with family or friends. Well-balanced between comfortable livability and light packability, the Nachi is a practical option for both backpacking and car camping trips. It weighs and packs like a backpacking tent, except steeper walls give it a roomier feel that most backpacking tents lack. We sized the floor to fit two of our widest sleeping pads for a surprising amount of space.

Amazing quality and easy set-up

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I was recently brought on the Backcountry team as Gearhead to put some products through the ginger and sharing with the product team. This tent is the best tent I've ever owned. The one pole and magnetic strip design makes this tent super easy to set up and break down. The clip on set up works like magic and seamlessly lets you break down the tent. My partner in I slept with all our our other gear with plenty of space and he is 6'3. I'm headed to Alabama Hills, Yosemite and a few other places with this tent so I'm stoked to keep testing it out. Holes in mesh

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I'm glad I didn't actually take this camping with me because after just hours of being set up in my back yard there were rips, stretch marks and holes appearing all over the mesh of the tent. Very disappointed. Sending it back but now I don't have a tent to go on my camping trip in.

Quality is just not there.

Familiarity:

Do not know how this tent passed quality control. There was a pole clip that was completely missing (not even sewed onto the body of the tent). Also, the floor of the tent is not one full piece. It has been sealed along 1/3 of the way in along the long edge. Up to you what you are looking in a tent, but I know I am looking elsewhere.

Really Impressed

Familiarity:

Height:

Weight:
190

I recently purchased this tent after my REI Half Dome 2 Plus suffered a pole mishap in the Sierras. I was initially skeptical because I'm 6'3 and the interior footprint of this tent is a bit smaller from what I've used previously but those concerns disappeared the moment that I set it up for the first time. The side walls rise rapidly creating more usable space than I had in my previous two backpacking tents. Set up and disassembly were both easy and done in a matter of minutes. I felt like the weight is extremely reasonable given both the price and size of the tent. The only small drawback (in my opinion) is the shape of the doors as I prefer a teardrop style that stuffs into the ceiling vs. stuffing into the side. I used this on a weekend trip into the White Mountains and on an 8-day trip to the Uintas Mountains.

Logos

Nice looking tent except for the multi-multiple logos. Kind of goofy!

Easy and sturdy!

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought the Nachi for backpacking with my 6?6?? husband and we were both extremely impressed with how quick and simple the set up was! He was barely able to sit up right in it, but the tent was large enough for both of us (I?m 5?8??) to sleep comfortably. (Definitely couldn?t include our husky though!) There are pockets on opposite ends to stash devices, and it was beautiful to just stare up at the stars without the rain fly. We endured hours of rain and wind on the second night, and the tent held up to the wind with its low profile and kept us dry. The break down was also just as simple as the set up.

Quality Beginner Setup

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was lucky enough to be one of the Gearheads tasked with giving ideas to our product team and NEMO to help design this tent, and also got to mess around with it during a photoshoot a few months back. It's a solid piece of gear and I'm excited to test it further and further out in the field. The pole design makes it super easy to set up, I'm 6'2" and found lots of room inside, the two doors and vestibules are great for easy access and more storage, and its made from solid durable materials. What more could a new backpacker ask for? I especially love how the fly attaches to the poles directly for a solid connection that you can tighten or loosen as needed. Super stoked to get outside and spend as many nights in the Nachi as I can!
