One of the best duffels I've used
Carrying this pack on your pack actually feels good and not like an afterthought feature thrown on.
Waterproof - Check. Comfortable to carry- check, Durable - check. It's got the most compartments and the most uninterrupted space while still being lighter than most comparable duffel.
Stowable shoulder straps tuck away. Compression buckles make packing more efficient and can also work as gear attachment points, and I dig the zippered pockets.
My ideal uses would be travelling and car camping.
Perfect all around duffel
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
This is the Black Hole or Base Damp Duffel re-invented! This thing is so durable! Rep the goat and have a great trip wherever your adventures lead you!
Well-built so far
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
We used this on the plane to transport hiking equipment for a Grand Canyon trip. We shoved everything we needed into the bag and it seemed like we kept finding nooks and crannies for places to put stuff. We also packed our hiking poles. The main compartment is spacious and really does kind of swallow it all. The shoe compartment provided you an opportunity to put plenty more items and kept on expanding. The material is well made. It's thick and isn't very pliable. It's sturdy and that's what you need. Despite having two sets of hiking poles in there (one of which had to go in at an angle as they were so long) they didn't poke through or cause any indentations. The zippers are massive and managed to shut without making you feel like they were going to bust at the seams. We didn't use the backpack conversion straps. Honestly they look a little thin to use comfortably but I have no intention of carrying it like a backpack. It's a good purchase and one that will last for many years I suspect.

Best Duffle bag!
This bag fit my ladies wardrobe, 2 dogs, and my dirty undies. This bag is simple with plenty of simple pockets to separate whatever you need to. I really dig the straps, and how it can be run as a backpack as well. This bag looks amazing as well. Mucho approved!
Can this be worn as a backpack
How much does the duffel weigh?
I want to say its about 2lbs 9ounces but we will update the weight as soon as we can get that weighed in and confirmed for the website!
Hey Kari, That weight got confirmed and it's 2lb 15oz!
Does this bag have lockable zippers?
You could fit a travel lock through the ends (see pic), however these aren't the overlapping style you'd find on a piece of luggage.
