Style is cute but runs pretty big, which is unfortunate if you're already ordering an XS. There is no adjustment for the hood which is very oversized. And the zipper... was very difficult to use and I think wouldn't last more than a season. Good idea backcountry but needs some work and adjustment on sizing.

Impressed with the much higher quality materials and construction than a lightweight down jackets from another outdoor store. The hood is super-cozy and well-insulated. Pockets deep enough to stash mittens, with room for hands above. However, the styling is quite boxy and big for my thin frame, even with a fleece jacket underneath. (Probably fine for medium-build folx). Exchanging for an XS. These improvement would make it a 5-star for me: adjustable waist cord to add a bit of shape; adjustable hood; 2 large lower interior pockets.

Very nice vest, nice high coat. Unfortunately not for my shape. For me vest was too large, and was not as fitted to my body type, as on the picture. It was much more baggy on chest, fit great below hips.

I am 33" around the bust 25.5-26" waist 25" hips respectively - ordered an XS to layer my winter coat. For my physique there was 2-3" extra space around the bust, 4" extra space around the waist, perfect around the hips. I could've ordered the XXS, but I think it may have been to tight around the bottom circumference. The hood is excellent. With the zipper fully pulled up, the hood doesn't have too much room to blow off in the windy Canadian weather. But it also will not flatten the top of my hair. Quality is excellent and the navy blue lining inside of the black exterior is very rich in colour.

This is a great vest with a lovely muted color in the dusty olive. I tried a similar item from another store, and liked this one better in terms of the fabric, the quality, and the shape that nips just a *tiny* bit at the waist. It feels nice, and warm for its weight. As a tall gal, I would have liked an extra inch or two on the length, but it's still long enough for full bum coverage.

Hi, this is Emily and I work on the Backcountry brand product development team. I am writing this review today to help guide your sizing decision on this new product. My measurements are: 5'4" Tall Size 4, or on the larger size of S in bottoms The larger side of S for tops bust 34 B. This vest is a gals best friend for winter. The length of this vest is unique and will wrap its wearer in warmth. This product is true to size and I wear a S in this vest. In this size, I do not feel restricted while walking around, even though I have bigger thighs.
