Shedding ounces and bulk compared to the original Teo, the Teo Hybrid ALLIED Down Jacket keeps up on our high-output backcountry ski tours. We built this midlayer with both the climb and the drop in mind—with 800-fill ALLIED RDS-certified down in the core for compressible, lofty warmth that's also completely responsibly sourced. As we build heat on the ascent, we open the hand pockets to let the excess escape, while the breathable stretch panels wick away moisture. The jacket's backing has a 4-way stretch material that lets us easily navigate tricky kick turns on the skintrack.

Perfect jacket for cross country skiing
This jacket is very warm but will scrub off the heat if you are active. The down and vents all work together. We have 3 of these jackets

Perfect athletic down jacket

I have had this jacket for almost a year and love it. I use it every time I cross country ski and go out on cold hikes. The knit panels keep my body the perfect temperature when kicking and gliding and the down front is perfect when skiing down hill.

I like the jacket so much I bought it in both colors!!!!!! The jacket works well in a layered application or solo as temperatures rise throughout the day.

Love the look, I’ve bought many things from backcountry so yes I trust the brand. Not this jacket, the front pockets are so deep and stretches, it goes little below the crotch area (doesn’t show in the pictures). I wish it did show in the pictures and I wish it had normal front pockets, bad design flow (my opinion). Bought one for my wife and myself, but had to return it. Oh and got charged $6 for a return label.

Noisy

It is exactly as described. Sleeve length for thumb holes are perfect. Love almost every thing about it. The shoulders. Makes A LOT of noise with every movement. Surround sound. Right into the ears. 24/7 The kick turns “skintrack” is off with the design. “ The jacket's backing has a 4-way stretch material that lets us easily navigate tricky kick turns on the skintrack.” The sound of snow below the feet is directly in the ears. From the jacket.

This hybrid jacket was recommended as a light down base layer style jacket to use while around camp or out on a hike. When I received it I thought this thing can’t keep me warm.. Oh boy I was wrong. I can say not only did it keep my warm it has been worn almost everyday since I received it. I was amazed how well it worked to keep my core warm while hiking to my photography locations and my back didn’t get soaked from sweat like other puffy’s would have done. I do find it stylish and and wear it around the house and town as well. The design was well thought of too and find this jacket to be perfect and will end up getting another as I wear this one out. It works exactly as designed.

Warmer than it looks.

This is a great layer underneath a shell. I was initially concerned bc of the lack of insulation at the back, but it definitely did it's job.

It's made for tall thin people

This particular jacket will fit you only if you're thinner and/or taller than average. I ordered both M and L. M fits tight and already longer than I would like. L fits better (to my liking), has room for another layer underneath, but it would certainly stick out longer than a ski jacket. I like the concept. So much so that I was considering keeping the L and having it shortened. Trouble is, that would make it prohibitively expensive. I had to return both.

Love this jacket

Its a little larger than I though it would fit (6'0" 195lb -- size L), but not necessarily complaining. Sleeves are plenty long to use the thumb holes (tends to be an issue for me with many brands). Fabric is soft, stretchy and breathable. Highly recommend this jacket for regular wear or of course on the slopes!
