Not quite secure enough

Nice quality and great value overall. Looked good on the truck. However, the velcro tie down straps around the downtube were just too long to secure the bike {Kona Hei Hei CR for reference}. After multiple attempts I was able to rig it by adding several inches of padding between the truck pad and the bike , but decided that was getting silly and I would just try something else. Clearly works well for others. Bummer.

Good tailgate pad

I almost didn’t purchase this item because of a bad reviewer, he said it didn’t fit a third gen Tacoma. I’m glad I looked, he must have ordered the larger size because mine is the exact size in the description. He also said something about wanting the straps on the outside, that wouldn’t look very good at all in my opinion. I’ve tested this out on long road trips and bombing to the trailhead on rough dusty roads, I’m really liking this pad a lot. If you have a backup camera, this pad will cover it but it will also protect the camera from a bike rubbing on it. The only thing negative that I would say about this pad is the size of straps that are used, it seams like they are too long for the down tube or too short to go around the top tube, but it’s miner and it still works great.

Very pleased with this pad! Fits perfect on the truck, (2003 toyota tacoma) holds the bikes in place, and loved the grommets to run a cable through and lock it up to the truck.

Didn?t work out for me/my truck

I really wanted to like this but had too many problems with it. Mainly the facet that the center section that sits on the top edge of the tailgate wasn?t wide enough to go over my tailgate (2019 Tacoma.) I also wasn?t a fan of how the long section of the straps has to be fed from the outside of the truck under the tailgate and into the bed. Seems like it would be easier if the straps were fed from inside the bed to the outside. Outside of that it seems like it would be a good product. Item description should include more info and pictures
