Too Small!!

I bought this as a gift for my husband. Liked the color and seemed nice quality, but ordered his usual size (XL) & it was too small in the back/shoulders. It would?ve been a great deal if he could zip it past his belly button!

I have been intending to buy a lightweight vest like the Patagonia nano or micro puff, but when I saw this for so cheap I decided there was little to lose, and I was right. No long term data yet, but on inspection it looks well made and designed. The fit is spot on even with another layer underneath- I'm completely mystified by those who say it fits small (maybe they are "American sized" themselves??). The fill is more than ample, providing high loft, and it is plenty warm. It is cut a little too long in the front (I think it should be a little shorter in front than in back so it doesn't bunch up around the waist), but the pockets are nicely placed. The color is a bit darker than in the picture, as another review said, but that is probably due to different fabric lots. A great buy.

I own two of these vests. I like the first so much I bought a second. They are warm light and versatile. I wear them out casually as well as a nice warm middle layer on a cold morning. Seems to run small most things I buy are size large. I love everything that I have purchased in the back country brand. It has been my experience If it?s got a goat on it it?s a great value and great quality

Not the first time i bought something from Back Country that when the item arrived it was a different shade. I purchased the vest in colonial blue. The picture provided on the website was more of a sky blue, but when the item arrived it was a dark teal. I've bought shoes that looked light in color and also came in a darker color. That jacket is really warm and light. I'm keeping it because it more of a hastle to return it, but i was really looking forward to that light blue color.
