This jacket is good ! , for the $ I think it’s was a very good deal with the amount of features they give you! The only reason not a full five stars is because it does run a little small at the forearms (I can barely get my watch through) and lack of durability as I already seen A few stitching coming undone on the seems. Only a one season jacket so it’s not worn much. Overall it’s great for what you pay for!

Just received the jacket and I should have gone a size up (as others suggested). The model on the product page is shown to be 6'2 wearing a medium, but I'm 5'10 and skinny so I ordered a medium. Oops. Standing, it fits really well. I love the two-way zipper, hood adjustment cord and hidden elastic in the cuffs that should seal out wind. Slash pockets are well designed. Incredibly light. Looks clean and unfussy. My only dislike was that the jacket felt more snug around the shoulders and back. If I reach to tie a shoelace, it feels like I'm really stretching the back of the jacket and it's uncomfortable. Returning it for a large which I'm sure I'll love.

I was excited for this jacket, ordered a Large, like I wear in everything else. Showed up and the sleeves are to short, torso to short, and my wife said I looked like a stuffed sardine. Make sure and size up if you order! As for build, it had YKK zippers, and the face was more durable than other insulation jackets I've used in the past. I really enjoyed the matte color, just wish they had the green in XL instead of L.

Pros: Fairly lightweight down jacket and comfortable in 30 deg weather with a sweatshirt/long sleeve. Could be used as inside layer if you wear a gortex shell over it. Fits good but a little snugger at the forearms with a sweat-shirt due to slim fitting design but chest and stomach area was perfect. Decent product quality for the $ especially with a deal (which is what I got). Love the green color which I bought. You can't really smell the goose down (very subtle) is a plus cause I have had jackets or down blankets were your thinking your outdoors with a the geese! lol. Good length with cord to tighten bottom and great hood size. great large pockets and inside pockets. Zippers is decent. Cons: Snugness at forearms when layered. Conclusions: Its a damn good jacket with 1 minor issue for me. I love it! :)

Hi, this is James and I work on the Backcountry brand product development team. I am writing this review today to help guide your sizing decision on this new product. The Stansbury is our new packable down jacket, great for everything from ski layering to bar hopping. I size up in this style to get the most out of my active pursuits while still having the room and comfort for daily wear.

Hello, which size is the model wearing in the product images? Also, is the hood adjustable? Thanks!

Hey Ryan, The model is wearing a size Large. The hood has an adjustment cord at the back as well as draw cords at the front.

Does this jacket have a lining or additional cold weather protection on inside? Or is it unlined? It looks warm.

Hey Chris, This is a 750 fill jacket, it is warm, however not sub-zero warm. There is no liner outside of the recycled nylon liner.
