Good but fit not for me

The black is a nice matter color, not shiny like other jackets. It is a bit more puffy than the one I was replacing (a mountain hardware) and too baggy around the belly like it needed to be a more fitted. For the money a good value. I'm 5'8" with a 44" chest and 34-35" waist and ordered a size large.

Perfect Warmth for the Winter

I recently picked this up to use for layering during our cold UT winters. I was a little skeptical about how warm it would be at first due to how light this jacket felt. However during our last snow storm I was able to wear this with just a long sleeve shirt without feeling any discomfort walking around town or heading out to my car from the office. In fact I was sweating in my car on the way home and had to stop and take this off at one point. If you're like me and run hot, I recommend a moisture wicking baselayer underneath to help with that. While touring around Millcreek canyon I stayed very warm and had to take this off to vent some heat . Packing this down into the stuff sack and throwing it in my pack was quick and easy One thing I noticed when I first purchased this was it was 'shedding' feathers. This is fairly normal for down jackets based on my experience and usually stops fairly quickly. It hasn't been an issue since the first couple of times I wore the jacket I bought a Large and while it fits well I think it has more of a boxy fit, which leaves a lot of room in the lower torso. It isn't annoying and leaves plenty of room for layering underneath but is definitely a roomier fit compared to other standard cuts. Overall I would definitely recommend picking one of these up. I got the Pirate Black and love that it's more of a matte color than the shiny black you see elsewhere. Pretty true to color as pictured as well

What is the actual fill weight of the jacket?

How much does it weigh?

Hey Brenden! This jacket weighs 25oz!

How would you describe the denier (thickness) of the face fabric?

Hey Luis! the face fabric is a medium thickness made from nylon woven ripstop with a DWR treatment and is 30 Denier. The fabric is soft but thick enough that it protects the jacket from possible snags, or seeing the down through it. It was designed as a lightweight layered piece to hike or ski in.
