I rarely write reviews, but I ended up buying a second pair of these because I liked them so much. They're super versatile whether you want to hike or wear out. A lightweight material that dries quick and makes for a great go-to option in the summer.

Shorter and looser than pictured.

Contrary to the previous review, these shorts are true to fit, so I would go for your normal size or size down to compensate for soft shell stretch that seems to be inevitable over time. These shorts felt shorter than the 7 inches advertised and are also quite baggy in the crotch and hip area. They bunched up a lot when wearing a climbing harness. Seemed like they would be comfy shorts in warm weather. I returned them.

Ready for summer!

I can already tell these are going to be my new favorite shorts. Last year the Olympus short from Backcountry was my go-to, but this year I was looking for something a little less sporty and a little more dinner-party ready. I assumed my criteria was going to make my search a chore: ultra stretchy material, above the knee fit, medium width leg openings, enough deep pockets to hold my essentials (phone, wallet, keys) and not lose them if I'm on a bike, normal waistband (no elastic or drawstrings) and a solid color. These shorts 100% absolutely check all those boxes and more! For the most part, the detailed photos are accurate in terms of fit and color, although the medal bronze color is a little more muted and less yellow in real life (which is preferred). I'm generally a 31" waist so a 32" can be a gamble depending on specific fit. I went with 32 in these and they're about perfect, so I think they're on the slightly smaller end of a 32, which I'm stoked about! I'll likely pick up the other colors once it's officially shorts season!
