I have had and loved my On the Go 1.0 pants for years now. They have survived MANY hikes and climbing gym sessions before getting a hole. The cut in the crotch was always a little weird so I am SO excited that they have fixed that with these. They also got rid of the pinstripe down the outside seam and it looks like they fixed the elastic at the bottom. Overall these are definitely an improvement and are much more flattering. I figured the cargo and the 2.0 would be the same other that the side pockets but that is not the case, the 2.0s don't fit me quite as well and are a little baggier throughout. The cargo also has huge front pockets where the 2.0 pants have WAY smaller ones. I returned these and kept the cargo instead. Compared to the 1.0 On the Go pant: The waist is about the same, I would order your same size. These have a slightly higher front rise, 8.5" vs 9.0". They changed the inseam with these, my 1.0 XS short had a 28.5" inseam, and the 2.0 XS short have a 25.5" inseam. The front pockets are WAY smaller than they were before.

I finally got myself a pair of these awesome pants! Perfect for travel days, camping, hiking, you name it. I am 5'9", 135, size 6 pants and the medium/regular fit nicely with enough room in the waist to have to use the drawcord.

Super bummer, for the price these pants are extremely lightweight and feel quite cheap :( They had a hole in the stitching in the knee and I ended up returning them. Pretty tight fitting as well, I'm a typical size 4 with a booty and these were booty hugging which I don't love for hiking

These are exactly what I was looking for! Love the bright blue color, they're lightweight, water repelling, and just comfy! I was hesitant about which size as I'm generally between a L or XL in the Backcountry brand, so I got an XL to be safe. They're a little roomy but I'd rather them not be snug!

Can't Go Wrong With This Classic!

The On The Go pant and line is a staple in any closet. It is truly the most versatile pant. You can bring it hiking, biking, running errands around town, climbing, camping, the list can go on forever. The 2.0 version is a lighter material than the first version and its perfect for those hotter summer days. The fit is the same from the first version. The small/short is perfect for me, I am 5'2 and 125lbs.

What is the approximate UPF rating on these pants?

>Rating:

Any chance you will bring these back in a long inseam? The 32 inch inseam was perfect for us tall ladies, unfortunately 26-28 is much too short.

What's the difference between these and the original?

Thank you for your question! We lightened up the fabric to make them more comfortable.

Hi Marissa, We also removed the pleating that used to be on the front of these pants , modernizing the look, and reduce the length of the pant so it hits more at the ankle as it was pooling on a lot of customers in previous years. We hope you like the update!

do these run small?

Hey Melissa! They run a tad big or true to size. I would recommend ordering your size based on the size chart!
