The description says 55% Merino Wool and the rest organic and recycled cotton. The tag on the product says 45% nylon and a mix of wool and cotton for the rest. Not what I expected when I purchased it. Stitching on the right shoulder is already loose and spreading straight out of the package. I can't complain about the pockets because it does say it keeps chilled fingers warm, and you can indeed fit your fingers in the pockets, not your entire hand, so that's a fair description. It is a Backcountry branded item so I can feel confident in not purchasing from them anymore as it can't be blamed for a different manufacturer's flaws. If you do decide to make the mistake of purchasing this, it does run large. I'm 53 inches around the chest so I went XXL which was only sized for 49 and it is quite loose in the chest and therefore baggy everywhere else. It's warm enough and I can't be bothered to repack and return so I will use it for cold, dirty activities where I don't want to damage my clothes of actual quality. So long Backcountry, I'll stick with REI for now on.
