Strange fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- M

I found the fit strange. Tight in the arms, armpits, shoulders, and chest. Yet incredibly loose around the belly and waist. I found the fit annoying for everyday use, and completely impractical for performance wear. Luckily it fit my cousin. He is a similar height as me, but is skinnier in the chest, shoulders, and arms. He also has a big belly. If you work out and have an athletic build, I'd skip this because the fit will be off. This is cut more for a dad bod with a significant belly.

I got this for my son for Christmas in a large, he loved the shirt but he was unable to raise his arms without it being uncomfortable. Backcountry exchanged it for an xl and he was thrilled. He works in the elements and is bundled up most of the day but loves coming home and just being able to wear a tee and this shirt jack. Perfect addition to his wardrobe and he wears it everyday.

DOPE Shacket for Sure!!!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Medium

I was looking for a nice insulated shirt/jacket, and this Backcountry piece definitely fit the bill. It offers the perfect amount of warmth for those chilly fall/winter days and the fit is perfect - true to size. The wool has a nice cozy feel to it. The chest pockets are generously sized and can fit your phone in them, zipper or snap-button side. 2 hand warmer pockets, and a sweet back mini-pocket for smaller items. Not a big deal, but the only thing this jacket needs, which would make it a 5, is a loop in the neck for hanging it up. Every time you go to hang it up, your favorite new shacket wants to fall off the coat rack or hook you hang it on.

Awesome Outer Layer Shirt
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- Medium
- Height:
- 5' 10"
- Weight:

Disclaimer: I was given this product by Backcountry but the opinions in this review are my own. I love this shirt jacket for those in between temps where its cold enough for just a long sleeve but not too cold where you need a puffy. It has a great weight and durable feel to it compared to something like a lightweight puffy which will give you more peace of mind when working around a campsite because you don’t need to worry as much about it getting damaged. It is also a great option to layer with and provides a nice outer layer with a flannel or base layer underneath. I wore it all through Iceland and it was a great addition to have when going into town so it is a nice option to pick up that does well at the campsite and for hanging out in town. I really do enjoy this shirt jacket and it will get some good use in the years to come.

Everyday Coziness
- Familiarity:

- Size Bought:
- Medium

This jacket was supposed to be for my husband, BUT it's so cute I kept it for myself. Tested it on a cold windy evening outside - the front is lined with a wind stopping nylon - and it kept me so cozy and warm that it is officially my new cool weather go to layering piece. I would normally wear a small in this, but the medium is perfect for layering over big sweaters. I can't recommend this jacket enough.

Day 1, Multiple Compliments
- Familiarity:

The Barberry Plaid is a bit darker and the Everglade is a bit more olive than the images above depict. I'm traditionally a medium in button-downs and the medium in this style fits perfectly. Currently, the Everglade has received more compliments than the Barberry Plaid and is my personal favorite, but both colors look great. If you're looking to wear this over a hoodie or sweater, I'd size up, as the medium fits perfectly over a t-shirt or long-sleeve t. The inside is comfy and doesn't itch. Keeps you warm and fits great. You won't regret this purchase.
