    Incredible

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 32X32
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 155lbs

These pants are incredibly soft. When ordering these I was expecting a standard slightly itchy denim but when I got them before even washing them I realized how soft they were. The waist is also stretchier than I expected it fights just right and is not constricting at all. the thighs are just the right size not to big or small overall I love this item!

    Durable and look good!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 33x32
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 180lbs

Really like these pants! Although others have had to size up, they ran fairly true to size for me. Im usually a 32 or 33, and ended up going with a 33 and they fit great. Not totally in love with the zippered pocket on these, kind of a weird spot for a pocket, but doesnt get in the way or anything. Overall these things are pretty bomber!

    Wardrobe Killer

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 33x32
    • Height: 5'7"

Well, time to buy a few of these and donate the rest of my pants! Seriously comfortable and great fit. I wore these for almost a week straight on a road trip from Utah through Nevada, Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. They held up well for everything from hiking to rock climbing to hiking and relaxing. The 3% spandex adds a nice flexibility to the softness of the cotton. After checking reviews for sizing, I went up to a 33x32. I normally wear 30 or 31, so I think a 32x30 would actually be the best fit for me, however the 33's were still very relaxed and not too large.

    Beware... Sizing is off

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 36
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 195lbs

I wear a 35 or 36 in everything.... These pants are mis-sized... Do not order. You will return!!! They must be manufactured wrong. BackCountry should not be selling these. Get the sizing right or take of the site.

    Great fit for most builds!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 33 waist 32 inseam
    • Height: 5'7"
    • Weight: 180lbs

As an athlete I was thrilled that these pants actually fit my backside without looking awkward. They have a great cut and just the right amount of stretch. The tighter cuff around the ankle means that shorter people like me, don't have have to worry about 32 inch inseam being too long.

    Slim AND comfortable

    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 180lbs

The Backcountry Go-To Stretch Twill Pants have quickly become some of my favorites. They feel like denim, but the 3% spandex gives them JUST enough stretch to feel great as you move around.

I find them to be similar in fit to slim AG pants that I really like, but the Backcountry ones are even cooler.

    Stylish & Functional

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 31
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 150lbs

The second I put these on I knew I loved them. They have a cool slim fit but are still amazingly flexible. When climbing in them I didn't feel held back at all like I normally do with cotton pants. I also loved the zippered pocket on the left side because I can still access it while wearing a harness and it fits my phone perfectly.

I am normally about a 29 waist and the size 31 fits me perfectly. Definitely size up with these pants.

If you're looking for a comfortable, stylish, and flexible pant get these. You will not regret it.

    These Pants Are Rad!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 32
    • Height: 6'0"
    • Weight: 165lbs

I have the absolute hardest time finding pants that fit me because I find myself between sizes or the cut is never quite right. I was stoked when I put these on. While you should probably size up, they have an awesome tapered fit with a mega comfortable stretch material which provides utility and style in an unsuspecting pant.

    Love these pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 32
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 167lbs

These are great pants to be able to go to work in and also do some afternoon climb or activity. They're not super stretchy by any means, so don't expect Prana Zion stretch here, but they are just a little bit stretchy to keep you comfortable. Definitely more of casual wear than athletic wear, so if your plan is more for around town/work and maybe a little bit of a climb, light biking, or hike, these are great.

They do seem to run a little tight, so probably size up. I'm 5'10, 167lb and got a 32. By comparison, I'm a 30 in Prana Bronson pants.

    Great Casual Pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Height: 5'11"

Bought as a gift for my Father-in-Law. These a great around town pant. We used them while walking around Vail's Farmer's Market and they fit right in with the mountain/street lifestyle look. The stretch makes them comfortable enough to walk around in all day and the blue goes with almost anything. They are a little more dressed up than just jeans and therefore are a great option for a casual pant. We had no issues with the fit.

    Size Up

    • Size Bought: 32
    • Height: 5'8"
    • Weight: 135lbs

These are new to me, thus just the 4 stars. First impression is good, though.

Definitely size up. My boys and my husband all had to go one or two numbers up, from their normal size.

Everything else fit great on them though. They liked the cut of the legs and the fabric.

    Comfort and Style

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 35/32
    • Height: 6'1"
    • Weight: 190lbs

I have been wearing these pants for a few months now and have nothing but amazing things to say. I own pants from companies like Patagonia and Prana and these have held up to those standards by far. They are very stretchy and allow great mobility for anything you throw at them. Tad slim so I sized up.

    Adventure Ready

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 31x32
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 170lbs

Bought these for my husband and did end up sizing up per the reviews. The reinforced knee, left side pocket and all details are on point! It is perfect for hiking, traveling and hanging out. I would recommended sizing up around the waist.

pretty cool, but sizing didn't work

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 30x32
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 155lbs

I ended up returning these after trying them on. The sizing just didn't quite work for me. The waist was a bit too tight, and the legs were cut just a bit too straight for me. It was a decent fit through the thigh, but too loose around my ankle and calf.

    Pretty comfortable, very understated

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 31
    • Height: 5'10"
    • Weight: 155lbs

I bought these as a jeans-alternative for the office and they fit the bill perfectly. I'd agree with previous reviewers that this do run on the slim side, I usually wear a 31 or 32 and these fit more like a 30 in other brands. I don't think that I'd want to wear them as actual outdoors pants, in the same way that I wouldn't wear jeans to hike in, but for around the office they make a nice alternative to khakis.

    Legs Covered!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 36
    • Height: 5'11"
    • Weight: 220lbs

I got these pants for my husband, who needed a casual pair. With just enough stretch to be super comfy, the pants are formal enough for office casual and make a great travel pair. The fit is slim but not skinny with a relaxed waist. A super pair of everyday pants. For his height and weight he 36 works great with the cuff rolled.

    Great fabric, Quite slim fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: 36
    • Height: 5'9"
    • Weight: 220lbs

The 97% cotton and 3% spandex fabric is very soft and stretchy while remaining durable. The fit is a bit on the smaller side though so consider sizing up. They are a slim fit and it shows a lot in the thighs. If you have cyclist thighs be ready for these being snug. I'm also a 29/30 inseam so the 32 inseam is long on me. The slim fit and stretchy material can make a great fit for more slender body types with longer legs but I'm a larger guy at 5'9" and 220lbs so I mostly stay away from slim fits and that is the case here. I love the material and look, the fit just doesn't work for me.

    Way too tight!

Order up a size or two in the waist! These run extra slim and are more like tights. Would not recommend for dudes with 32 waist or greater. Return process is a complete hassle.

Hey Timothy, I'm sorry that these weren't the right fit for you! I have heard from other folks that these pants do fit a small compared to their normal pants - I think going up a size would help to make them not feel so much like tights while understanding they are a slim fit style. I'm incredibly sorry about your experience with the return process. We don't send out return labels and order receipts with our orders to save waste in the shipping process. I sent an email to your inbox with more instructions about the online process and please reach out to me directly if you have any difficulties in the future.
