Cottonwoods Gore-Tex Bib Pant
Why We Like It
Even on the deepest storm days, winter finds us lapping fresh lines courtesy of our Cottonwoods Bibs. We built these with everything needed to stay dry in the wettest of snow so that we can explore off-trail in the deep stuff, have our way with spring corn on the groomers, and continue going even when near-blizzard conditions chase everyone else away. Their burly Gore-Tex construction defends against all manners of moisture, even from the inside, and we designed them to integrate seamlessly with the powder skirt on our matching Cottonwoods Jacket, so we stay tight as a drum in the stormiest of weather.
Benchmark for waterproof, breathable performance
Gore-Tex is a synthetic laminate that features thousands of tiny holes small enough to prevent water droplets from penetrating but large enough to allow water vapor to escape. This combination prevents snow and rain from reaching layers while still allowing hot air and water vapor to escape, managing moisture from external and internal sources.
Low-weight breathability for chasing goals
3-layer construction is more breathable, more packable, more durable, and lighter than its 2-layer counterpart, so it thrives during strenuous efforts in the worst weather. This construction features a technical laminate attached directly to a face fabric and a backer. Though it’s called 3-layer, the design works more like a single layer that seals out the weather while releasing excess heat and moisture. In this process, the face and backer provide protection while the laminate does the heavy lifting of sealing out water and releasing moisture.
Keeps even the sneakiest moisture at bay
Even the highest-rated membranes won’t do a whole lot of good if the seams between aren’t defended. We fully seal every seam on our technical outerwear, so melting snow doesn’t find its way into baselayers.
Modern style with room for layers
Our regular fit is built with inbounds resort riding in mind. The cut accommodates multiple insulated layers for the coldest days on hill, while still tapering in just the right places to provide a clean look that’s at home across the world.
Designed to thrive in lift-accessed terrain
Built with daily use in mind, our resort-oriented outerwear features a durable and waterproof construction that keeps you covered through changing weather and holds up to daily wear and tear.

New Favorite Bibs
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 6'0"
- Weight: 170lbs
After having a lot of trial and error with bibs from several brands, I was stoked after a few days on the mountain with these. The material feels durable and I'd imagine they'll stand the test of time. There's enough pockets and features for everything you want and need. The sizing runs true, however, I have a 31 waist and found them a little on the bigger side even when adjusted fully. That only makes a difference when removing the bib portion. Above all, these are awesome and I'm looking forward to more deep days with them.
Bomber and comfy!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium
- Height: 5'7"
- Weight: 180lbs
I wore this out last winter and I was thoroughly impressed, the fabric feels like nothing is going to get through it, very tough! Essentially a free ride bib that can take abuse if needed. Runs true to size as well, I wore a medium. There are excellent pockets on this, for maps, beacon pocket, one waist pocket for your keys or phone. There are inner thigh vents too which is nice to keep you cool if you are boot packing. I wouldn't take this out touring but if you need a bib for free-riding, side country missions and need something that is going to last you a few years? Look no further, feel free to reach out if you have questions.
What are the height/weight of the model? Is he wearing a larger size as a “snowboarder”?

Is this stocked at your west valley store?

Do the thigh vents open completely, or is there a mesh liner inside to stop snow from coming in?
The thigh vents are mesh lined to stop snow from coming in. Enjoy!
