Perfect

This is the ideal hiking pant in my opinion. Thick enough to keep you insulated and comfortable but not too heavy. Length is perfect too and you can cinch the bottoms to create more of a jogger-look.

Disappointed again

I find that backcountry women’s pants have zero pocket depth, can’t fit even my cell phone. The waist is always so tight even going up multiple sizes, which doesn’t track with other pants I own. For example, I have never worn a 10 but reviews said it ran small. And the legs were huge but waist was tight. And they feel kinda cheap. Just not worth it. I’ll have to stick with other brands.

I have been looking for the right pants to wear with my backpack for a very long time, and spent a lot of money in the process. I just got a pair of these and immediately wore them for a hike with my pack. My search is over! I know someone complained about the narrow waist, but that's exactly what make these perfect for me. They actually stay on my waist, not halfway down my hips. That means my pack sits on the sweet spot of the pants, not partially on the pants and partially above the waistband. I love these pants and just order another 2 pairs. PS Yes, they do run small, so size up.

Very lightweight with a bit of stretch, that is the best part. they do run small I got a size 8, I usually go with a 6 sometimes a 4 and they fit me perfectly. Size up. Otherwise good if you like hiking and being outdoor.

Barbie waist
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it

I currently have a size 10 Backcountry jeans. I ordered at size 10 and couldn't even button them. I mailed those back and got a size 14 and could bearly breathe when I buttoned them. There certainly is no "adjustable waist". Pant legs are normal sizing, but the waist is sized for a Barbie doll. Returning again and paying the $7 shipping. Very disgusted.
