Great pants!
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- 6

I love everything about these pants. The fit is as though they were made just for me. I have hiked in them twice now (yes, without washing between wears) and they look and feel as though it were the first time putting them on. They didn?t loose their shape and get baggy nor are they all wrinkled after wearing. The price was ideal. I purchased them on sale for $44 vs. $88. I only subtracted one star because the pockets on the thigh could be a little larger, my iPhone did not fit, however, it does fits comfortably, safely and perfectly in the back pocket...it?s just not as easily accessible if you are wearing a pack. I ordered a size 6 (although I am a 4 usually) as I really hate tight pants. They fit perfect-but I can agree with others that maybe the sizing is off. I lucked out with the fit but others might consider ordering a size up for a more accurate fit.

Sizing is off

I am 5?5? and weigh 112 lbs. I read the reviews and ordered a size larger than I normally wear (4). The 4?s fit nicely through the waist but a bit snug through the rear. I choose not to order the 6 feeling the waist would be too loose.

Sizing is way off
- Familiarity:

The sizing on these pants is way off. I am a solid 6 and I couldn?t even get these fastened. I returned them and got a size 8. Still too tight. I returned again and got a size 10. These are still pretty snug. I have never worn a size 10 in my life. I also ordered a pair of Kuhl brand pants in a size 6 and they fit great. I have recently read other reviews that the sizing is not accurate. I would think Backcountry would fix this issue since this is their brand. This was a big hassle, cost me money in shipping returns, and the experience was frustrating.

I got these mostly for hiking, but have ended up wearing them for everyday pants too. I love that they are so stretchy and that they have a high waist that stays up.

Haven?t been out in these, yet. But wore them around the house and I love them. They have the perfect amount of stretch and give. So flattering, as well. Definitely an added bonus. I?m 5?8, 160 lbs, and athletic build. I got a size 8 and normally wear an 8. They fit great.

I like the fabric and overall style of these pants. So far they are fairly comfortable for hiking with decent breathability and stretch - without stretching too much. The cut is a bit too tight through the thighs and hips for me, but a larger size would likely be too large in the waist, as there is already a small gap. I like the higher cut waist. The front pockets are only mesh material, too small, and oddly set. I hate mesh pockets because if you put anything metal like keys or a pocket knife in them (which you might commonly want to put in your pockets), it is uncomfortable and likely to tear the mesh. If you put dog treats in them, the treats can get a tad soggy from being next to your skin. An iPhone XR does not fully fit in any of the pockets - it will stick out of the rear pockets considerably.
