I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. This sweater is wonderful! It is a perfect light/mid layer for any outdoor activity and my now go to active sweater to grab. I have warn it now camping, hiking, running, backpacking, and just around my neighborhood. As a technical hoodie, this product meets all expectations. The material is durable and breathable that provides warmth without adding a lot of material that would get in your way. It is sleek and tight fitting to hug your body in every activity. I think this makes a great light/mid-layer and/or light jacket. It is not going to keep you warm in super cold weather on its own, but it is sleek enough to have layers added on top in a comfortable way. The sizing runs a little small. I am a medium and it was a bit more snug than I had planned for, but when warn with a base layer, tank top, or just a sports bra, it fits well and does it's job.

I was given this product by Backcountry, but this review is my personal opinion. This pullover is great! I've used this trail running, around town, on hikes, layering for hunting, and at work, managing an equine facility. I love the hood and the neck part for added protection in different weather conditions. The material is awesome, moisture wicking, doesn't attract crazy amounts of dog or horse hair. The shape of it is great too and held up well after multiple washes. I would say the sleeves are a bit short on me so using the thumb holes is not comfortable for me to use and would love a kangaroo pocket or some sort of pocket on it. Other than those two things it has kept me warm, dry and very comfortable in cold and warm conditions and its a new favorite in my closet.

Great layer under a coat

I bought this for my wife because we live in the Pacific NW and in the Fall and Winter she likes to layer clothes as we spend a lot of time in the mountains. This pullover has been great under her shell jacket because it's flexible and the built in neck gator has been an added benefit.

GF loves this despite the weird hood. I think it is more for looks than functionality as it looks very goofy. She loves the fit, material and color as well.

I really wanted to like this. I loved the color and the style, but that seam on the arms drives me nuts. It just rubs right on your forearms. I even sized up based on a previous review, but still didn't work well.

I bought this because I love irregular neck lines and storm collars too. In another review someone wrote that the sleeves are itchy where the fabric switches mid-arm. I totally agree but I just wear a long sleeve shirt underneath and that solves the problem. I wear it to work with my scrubs, hiking, post bike ride. Pretty good for an all around hoodie. There arenât any pockets, but Iâm 50/50 if Iâd love it more if it had a pocket.

Although the general material is nice, the fit is kind of awkward and the inseams on the sleeves are itchy. I gave it a shot but it was too distracting and uncomfortable on both accounts. The inner sleeve stitching that joins the two materials is harsh on the skin. The chest isn't as roomy as it appears in the photos. I normally wear size S so that's what I went with here but even for someone who's a 34B this felt too constricting for a hoodie. Sadly I'm returning. If you're not bothered by the sleeve stitching, I'd recommend ordering up for a more roomy fit.

Runs small!

Bought this and was so excited to try it but it runs a bit small. Fits my upper body well but is tight along my midsection where I carry more weight. I think sizing up will make it too big in the chest and shoulders so I am not sure if I will keep it or not. I can see how it would be really comfortable for outdoor activities in cold temps and the hood is nice and can be tightened up.

From the slopes to virtually anywhere, the Active Pullover is a super versatile hoody for just about any activity. Its buttery soft moisture-wicking fabric makes wearing this all day a dream, and the built-in adjustable balaclava hood is amazing to have when skiing to keep your neck protected from wind and snow. It is perfect under a shell or as a stand-alone piece in cool weather. The regular fit leaves room for a thin layer underneath and plenty of room for mobility. If you want a top you can literally live in, I recommend you give this one a try!
