Redster Worldcup Classic Boot
Your racing pals may have written you off as the sort of skier that likes to hang at the back of the pack, but that will give you just the kind of advantage you need to make the kind of pass they'll least expect. Not only will the Atomic Redster Worldcup Classic Boots give you the power you need to burn past them, but they have that little extra give you want to keep your feet comfortable during those longer tours. The Redster Worldcup has a stiff and responsive feel that's ideal for intense training sessions and race day. The boot is insulated with Thinsulate insulation for added comfort and has an adjustable heel strap, so the fit of the boot can be easily adjusted. The quick lace system makes dialing in the perfect fit a cinch (literally), while the water-resistant zippered lace cover keeps everything dry and streamlined for a more aerodynamic look and feel.

Good fit for narrow feet
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
As an advanced beginner, I don't need a fancy boot -- just something comfortable that fits well and will hold up as my skills improve. However, I find that the lower-end boots, especially men's/unisex styles, are too wide and a sloppy fit for my narrow heels. These race boots are much narrower and offer a more secure fit, which is perfect for me, and I got a fantastic deal! I'm not convinced that the heat-moldable liner makes any difference (I followed instructions on the Madshus site for heating the boot with a hair dryer, because Atomic and Backcountry were no help with this) but the interior is soft and padded in any case and feels good right out of the box. I normally wear a women's size 8.5/9 (street/athletic) and the size 40 fits well with a bit of extra room.
