    Mover Skintec Ski

For venturing into thick pine groves and deep powder off-trail, Atomic presents you with its Mover Skintec Ski. Featuring trickle-down technology from Atomic's top-of-the-line Redster series, Skintec uses mohair modules underfoot to act as miniature climbing skins when you're climbing or kicking. Mohair hangs on tight on the climb without feeling sticky on the glide, offering the best of both worlds.

When you do want to glide unimpeded through the flats, the Mover's slender, straight shape allows it to slice through fresh storm snow and days-old crust. The playful cores give the Mover energy and responsiveness when you're traversing through deep powder on high ridgelines, and the BI 3000 bases adapt to a wide range of snow conditions to keep you sliding quietly through a morning in the backcountry.

    • Glide into the deep snow with this waxless Nordic touring ski
    • Mohair grip zone provides traction while climbing and kicking
    • Lightweight, playful core for an energetic feel
    • Durable BI 3000 bases effortlessly glide on snow
    • Slim design ideal for breaking trail while touring
    • Item #ATO00DU

    Limited ski

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this ski a few months ago in 204 length and was very excited to ski on it this winter. I have been skiing, often on wooden and no-wax fishscale skis for nearly 50 years. We have a lot of snow here and on a few inches of powder on a relatively flat ski, it is fine. However, the mohair strip does not grip enough to allow comfortable and easy skiing up or down on steeper, even moderately steep grades. I would not buy this ski again. It is simply a one-shot ski for me. I wish I could return it. I guess I will try to sell it, although honestly, I doubt anyone will want it.
